Superman Vs. The Juggernaut

The Juggernaut is one X-Men foe that I would like to see return in the MCU.  He was pretty much treated as a joke in both his X-Men and Deadpool film appearances, and really has not been given the respect he deserves on the big screen yet.  Did they even touch on the fact that he is a half brother to Charles Xavier?  There's still plenty of story to mine with the character.

W.O.W. This cover is fantastic. A little too much for Juggy's looks tho - he looks like an Alex Ross painting as opposed to Clark and Jimmy looking like standard 2-D art. Since he is magic based tho, he can give Supes a real battle. Course if Superman puts him into a multi mile deep hole that might delay him a bit.

Vinnie Jones played him in X-Men: Last Stand, I think if I remember right. There was absotively no mention of any connection between The Juggernaut and Xavier.

Presenting Flatman's new partner: Ribbons™!

Look. See Jimmy. See Jimmy run. Run Jimmy, run. Run your butt off!
(now, if he was Elastic Lad...)

Nope! They definitely failed to touch on that fact. Which is why I've always thought the previous X-men films were in a separate universe from the Avengers flicks. Perhaps that could be part of the post-Blink MCU. In seeking to prevent the tragedy alluded to in LOGAN, a younger version of Bishop goes back in time to when Xavier's dad remarried to Cain Marko's mom. Changing the time-line just enough that he inadvertently merges the formerly separate universes!*

*I'd love to see cameo appearances by RJD (as a Tony Stark LMD), Ioan Gryfudd and Chris Evans discussing the uncanny resemblance between Steve Rogers and Johnny Storm.

They made him just another mutant, which he isn't.

@TMIB: that could be part of the time-line change. He goes back to being a magic-based mutate!

@Ross: I'm not exactly a UN translator. But, I'm pretty sure when used in the Italian singular, the correct term is "paparazzo."

Above anonymous, i’m pretty sure that most supervillains are pretty poor at foreign languages.

Ross, how about Dr. Strange and Princess Projectra. Same tailor?

Juggernaut and Colossus are two characters that will have to be addressed if Deadpool joins the MCU; they definitely need better treatment than they've gotten in the Merc's movies once the X-Men are reintroduced. (But as far as I'm concerned, Negasonic Teenage Warhead is just what she needs to be.)

@Cary: My idea would be to have the new Johnny Storm have a poster in his room/office/whatever showing Captain America fighting Killmonger. (Reed: "You know those two never actually met, don't you?" Johnny: "Yeah, but I've always felt a weird sort of affinity for both of them. I don't know why.")

@Anon@9:32: Your successor said roughly what I was thinking; while you're grammatically correct, Juggy isn't exactly known for his linguistic prowess, even in English.

The Xavier/Juggernaut connection was touched on in the second Deadpool movie. Juggernaut mentioned that his brother could read minds.

Impressive. Jughead looks menacing - and mean - enough to account for Jimmy O looking scared ****less. And Superman swooping in for a rescue might be facing more than he bargained for.

Supes would find some way to win, magic or no.

Now if it were the Martian Manhunter, he could simply swoop down, snatch Juggy's helmet off, then shut him down telepathically.

I don't know if Strange and Projectra have the same tailor, but Antonio Steffanacci does.

Best "before and after" models i've ever seen. That gym CAN do wonders.

@Horsefeathers: LOL! Good one!

I love the idea of this one!

I'm not as fond of the difference in art styles between the sources.

Art Styles?! Any relation to Ryan Styles?

;-D

Superman's Pal The Late Jimmy Olsen! Would this lead to the Man of Steel Crystallizing as he snaps, will the Man of Tomorrow not even know what day he's in? Will Doc Samson nurse his psyche to health, or will this be the Rising of The Kryptonian? Stay Tuned To Find Out.
