I'm glad to see that Hourman is one of the JSA members that will be in action in the present day on the upcoming Stargirl CW series. I've always thought that the character had potential for a show of his own. Maybe if the show is a big hit we'll get a spinoff one of these days.

Hourman and Thor

How much of a problem would it be to have Hourman teamed with the old yellow outfitted Daredavil?
Great time combo, especially considering Thor would turn back to Donald Blake if Mjolnir was away from him for more than one minute.
Now, ahem, a point of contention. Don't feel bad, but (nearly) EVERYONE gets the Norse pronunciations wrong:

If you click the little speaker icons, you can hear how they are really pronounced.
I know, I know. it's part of the Marvel culture now. I blame Marvel for never correcting fans. Hey, think about how many years Mjolnir was mispronounced!!
I know how you feel, Reg. When I was a little kid, I used to think "Sven" came between six and eight!
I wonder, though...
How will they pull off Hourman's powers? They seem to have ended characters like Rick and Rex Tyler and Ralph Dibney in the comics for the use of substances to gain super-powers. I have not seen Ralph in action on The Flash...
I've been wondering the same thing as Dave. In the comics, Rex Tyler never had to deal with anything like addiction, since the 1940s saw science as the cure-all; nobody considered anything as trivial as addiction or side effects. In the 1980s, when Rick took over the Hourman mantle, we'd started worrying about those things, so they were addressed in Infinity Inc. stories. What they do with it now, another four decades later, will remain to be seen.
@Rick: On The Flash, Ralph is a metahuman, given his powers (which he has 24/7) by a secondary Dark Matter event. Gingold is just a popular soft drink that he happens to love.
I really wish the DC (or whoever owns the rights) would makes some movies of the Justice Society of America set during World War II, or the All-Star Squadron. I doubt it will happen, but I think I once commented on here several years ago that the Suicide Squad would get turned into a movie, and it happened, so... maybe it will happen.

I assume this is basically a Thor cover with extra added Hourman? If so it's just incredible how he blends right in. Ultra smooth, Ross.
Maybe you can do a sequel - and find a new and improved rhyme for Jotun-whatever...
@Davejonz
You're close Dave, but Thor comes from the splash page of Thor #194 December of 1971 and the Hourman comes from the pages of Justice League of America #91, May of 1971. You're right tho it is an interesting combination and homage to Dick Dillin and John Buscema.
It always made me curious why the Storm Giants gave Thor so much grief during the Silver Age. Did they think their very tribal name made one of them more deserving of being the Asgardian thunder god?
