Adam Strange and The Herculoids in: "Invading Vader!"
Seriously, we need to see a Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe get going. Not only would a Space Ghost film be epic, Herculoids would look amazing on the big screen. We are finally at a point where the effects needed to do justice to all of the alien animal sidekicks are available. And just think of the marketing! Move over, Baby Yoda - plush Gleep and Gloop toys are on the way!
Adam previously met the Herculoids in STF #2670...

Yet another "I'd buy that book" entry even if I feel some of the Herculoids would be pretty useless (Has Tara ever done more than yell and point?) against the Empire. At least the Herculoids would be more impressive in combat than the Ewoks. Yea, you heard me.
I miss Adam Strange's 1960's uniform. Oh, DC is doing a Strange Adventures mini series on him in a few months. Hope they don't destroy his personality doing it. At least the Krypton chapter of his life is closed.
Plus the Super Friends, Hercules and Metamorpho. Gloop and Gleep and Gleek and Greek and (self-defined) freak.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
I've been waiting for just this team up! :-)
I mean, think about it. Half of the invasions fought off by the Herculoids were robots, which could be passed off as Clone War-surplus droids gone renegade. Zandor could be a Zeison Sha warrior as his shield can be flung like one of their Force-hardened defensive discs. And Tundro the Tremendous could easily be one of those multi-legged T'chuukthai aliens. Similar to the legendary Jedi Master Chon (who mentored the Sunrider family)!
So, thank you, Ross. Lots! :-)
I have to agree with det_Tobor. I don't know which of the three artists listed drew Adam Strange for this particular photo-capture, Ross. But, that costume makes him look like a plagiarized Voltron Ranger! :-(
"How strange!" said Adam: "I only count two artists."
A Hanna Barbera Cinematic Universe! Yes! But I'm afraid Hollywood would screw it up.
Not a lot of H-B's heroic-level shows were based away from Earth; in fact, besides Space Ghost and Herculoids, I can only find the Galaxy Trio and the Teen Force. For more Earth-bound shows (minus talking animals), one could bring together Jonny Quest, Birdman, Shazzan, Samson & Goliath, Captain Caveman, Speed Buggy, and the Funky Phantom into the same basic universe. Heroic-style shows where (relatively) normal humans interact regularly with talking (and/or otherwise anthropomorphic) animals -- Scooby-Doo, Hong Kong Phooey, Wacky Races, Blue Falcon & Dynomutt, etc. -- would probably be a separate world, but a fun one to see, and it might be possible to integrate them with the others after all. (There probably are more than a few H-B cartoons that I'm missing or just forgetting about.)
All WB would need to do is find a story supervisor with the fan attitude and sense of vision that they found in Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, or that Marvel found in Kevin Feige.
On Adam's outfit: I think that I actually haven't seen this one before today, and somewhat to my surprise I like it better than the original. It has a much more practical, realistic look without totally abandoning the 50s look (like the head fin).
Well the new Scooby doo movie is supposed to have
Blue Falcon & Dynomutt,
Captain Caveman,
And Dick Dastardly in them
On a hevaier note: how about the Punisher vs. Merlyn the Archer?
I'd love to see whose b/w uniform would make them more bad-a**!
My vote is for the original jetpack Adam Strange outfit. Way more distinctive than this one.
Hey! Adam's uniform looks like a great football uniform. Real team player there so it's perfect for him. His partners there look like he's working with Steve Rogers, Black Widow and Ben Grimm.
Tara would be more like Shanna the She-Devil. And Gloop and Gleep would be more like Plastic Man and Offspring.
@Bob Greenwade: What about Pirates of Dark Water, where, if I'm correct, the stories are PLANET-SIDE, with the closest references to places outside Mer being set in another dimension, not in outer space; also: @Anon 10:19 AM: It would be cool if Captain Caveman's utility clubs had pokemon (with ice, fire, and electric moves) inside them.
I had to double-check the title because that is *not* Adam Strange, at least not the one I know!

It's the post-Flashpoint Adam.
@Anon@8:22: I loved Pirates of Dark Water, and never really realized that it was H-B. That's one of their properties that I think could do really well on the big screen, both artistically and financially, regardless of what else is made.
Imagine if the Seng Brotherhood of pirates tried to establish a new branch in Gotham City. ;-D
