Thor Vs. Amazo

This biggest headline out of the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder is the addition of Christian Bale to the cast in a mystery role.  Many have speculated that he will portraying Beta Ray Bill, or at least his voice, which could be interesting.  Now the rumor is that he will be appearing as none other than Norman Osborne in a role that will span several movies.  Would Bale want to sign up for that, and would Marvel want to have to share him with Sony?  I'm not quite sold on the theory yet.  Heck, if it is true, and considering the fact that Michael Keaton is already on board as The Vulture, let's get Val Kilmer as Dock Ock, George Clooney as Electro and Ben Affleck as Kraven for an all Ex-Batman Sinister Six!

Ha!
Christian Bale as Norman Osborne?
I don't think I ever want to see Val Kilmer or George Clooney in a super hero movie...

Would Clooney go bare chested to show off Kraven's nipples?

I don't think Kraven usually goes THAT bare-chested.

Would Ultron transfer his consciousness into an Ultron upgraded Amazo body?

This cover is beautiful in its simplicity and use of a word balloon that tells chapters of back story. Question now is whether Amazo's nanites can duplicate the powerful cells of a magical being or will EARTH tech be too limited?

Cast that Bale as the big N.O. in a post Endgame movie and you could do the Dark Avengers and Hammer as a follow-up to affect the MCU.

Ultron's conciousness in Amazo's body? Det Tobor; I'm almost drooling at this brilliant idea!

Also, Thor couldn't handle Amazo on his own, he's toast with A having the Avengers' powers too.

After thinking it over, I can see Thor taking out Amazo though not through sheer strength; rather by drawing out Amazo's power source to render him inert.

Amazo and Super-Adaptoid vs The Parasite for the supreme power battery The Cosmic Cube.

@Ross: perhaps with Joseph Gordon Leavitt as a new Black Marvel (and Burt "Not-So-Youthful" Ward as his Golden Age namesake mentor).

Re: today's cover? Methinks the Odinson hath had it!

Hey Ross, is there room for David Mazouz in your S6 grouping? Besides that, I think I'd switch Val and George, based on both acting style and (yes, I pay attention to this) face shape.

I think that whoever plays Beta Ray Bill will do so with the same performace capture that turned Josh Brolin into Thanos. Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland, and Robert Downey Jr. have all spent plent of time in those suits too, so it can't be too terrible.

OT: Another conversation brought this idea to mind: Captain Carrot and Harecules Hare in "The Search for Bunny Foo Foo!" (I loved Harecules and his Guided Muscle when I was a kid.)

Given that Superman is vulnerable to true magic, wouldn't Amazo be proportionately vulnerable to Asgardian lightning?

Anonymous said...

Stands to reason, I think.

Amazo also absorbed Zatanna's powers at one time, so the lightning might not work. The problem would be stopping him if hen nad the Scarlet Witch's powers. No more Thor.

You only list 5 actors for Sinister Six. You need to throw in Will Arnett as The Sandman or The Chameleon.

Amazo can scan & duplicate but if it's a Gentleman Ghost or similar being, there may be nothing to scan.

@Scott: on the other hand, Batman's super-power has always been his refusal to give in and/or give up. Throw in Deadman to reinforce that will power...well, let's just say that Amazo wouldn't stand a ghost of a chance against Thor, then.
