Mr. Terrific and Daredevil
I am about to complete my second viewing of the second season of Netflix' Daredevil. I liked is so much that I decided to re-watch it with my brother and his wife as part of our regular movie nights. I love that the show has been able to maintain its quality and I am really looking forward to the third season as well as The Punsher's solo series - not to mention Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and more Jessica Jones. I'll keep watching as long as Netflix keeps up the great work.

First time I saw Mr. Terrific was in the JLA-JSA crossover from the early seventies, promising a murder mystery and one of the heroes will die. As Mr. T had never really appeared on any regular basis up to that time, he was the obvious candidate to be the victim. It was so annoyingly predictable, as well as he looked like a silly character.
Fast-forward twenty-five years later and I see him in the golden age reboot circa 2000, which relaunched the JSA, and he was brilliantly used. It just confirmed a character was never poorly designed, just poorly used.
When I first clicked on to this website, I could only see the very top of today's cover. When I saw "Mr. Terrific and Daredevil" my first thought was that this would be a photo cover featuring the Netflix Daredevil and the Mr. Terrific from the short-lived Mr. Terrific TV series from the 1960s. But this version is nice too . . . .
That got me thinking. How about a cover with the TV Mr. Terrific and his very similar rival from another network Captain Nice? If I'm not mistaken, those two rival shows both hit the airwaves at precisely the same time and both lasted a very short time. You might not be aware of those shows as I believe I'm a little bit older than you.
Yup, I've heard of them but they were a little ahead of my time, I'm afraid...
I was an avid viewer of the Mister Terrific TV show when it aired. I recently checked to see if it's been released on DVD, and indeed it has... in Germany, for Region 2 video. *sigh* Maybe someday it'll be out for Region 1.
Re: today's cover - I do hope Mr. Terrific carries through on his offer to DD. I'd hate to leave the poor guy hanging. #Rimshot #BadPunNoCookie
I think DC kind of dropped the ball with the new version of MR. TERRIFIC that has few fans.
I've heard a lot of non PC jokes that his alter-ego is Mr.T or even South Park's TOKEN character.
I'd kind of been thinking that a team-up here between the modern Mr. Terrific and Mr. T would be interesting. I pity the foo' that disagrees!
Interesting! How about a one-on-one team-up, where the Golden Age Mr. Terrific has to fill in for a war-time Capt. America? Perhaps as a result of Steve Rogers being captured by the Red Skull, Agent Axis, or some other war-time super-villain?
I agree that this Mr Terrific could have seen better use than to be killed off as he was.
How about featuring DC's Golden Age and modern [preferably pre-Flashpoint] versions of Mr Terrific, that Mr Terrific from the television, and Mr T, all together?
You could call it 'The T-team'...
Fair Play
Good one, Simreeve! :-)
You could also include Tom Terrific from the old Captain Kangaroo show. He had his own comic in the 50s.
And they could battle Batman's old foe, the Mad Hatter, at a T party.
