Supergirl Vs. Rogue
I have already indicated that Supergirl and Ms. Marvel are sisters in the STF-verse in a few past covers, so this is a confrontation that was bound to happen sooner or later.
Supergirl is the latest in the ongoing list of upcoming TV series. This one I have to admit I didn't see coming. I wonder if they will be connecting it to the big screen adventures of her famous cousin? Hopefully they will find the right balance of action and drama.

I don't think they have the budget to link it to the films. This is network television, not HBO or AMC. If we are lucky, we will get a well written, yet low-key, subtle use of fx, hour-long dramas.
I really miss that original Supergirl logo from the early 1980s (and the stories that went with it in Superman Family, Adventure Comics Digest, and eventually her own comic in 1982 drawn by Carmine Infantino I believe. My favorite issue was #2 when she sent up against Reactron.
Hopefully it will be a repeat of the success of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Schlocky movie = brilliant TV series.
CBS? CBS?
There is no truth to the rumor that the network is interested in casting Angela Lansbury as The Maid of Steel; or that the show will be seen as a "flashback" series of an older Supergirl looking back over her life...
;)
Supergirl needs a better origin. I would believe that she came to Earth after Pa Kent's fatal heart attack, and was raised by Martha after Clark left for Metropolis. I see why Clark put her up for adoption...
Unless she came to Earth and was found by the Danvers like Clark was found by the Kents.
Her origin is so complicated...
The Silver Age comic book origin had her arriving on Earth as the sole survivor of Argo City (a Kryptonian city-state-turned-asteroid!). And, after years as Linda Lee @ Midvale Orphanage (during which she performed her super-feats in secret), she was adopted by Fred and Edna Danvers. Following which, Superman officially introduced her to the world.
The writers of any screenplay should work around that basis.
