The Unknown Soldier and Captain America

Cap has recently been taken out of the uniform again, with Sam Wilson filling in as the shield-slinging Avenger.  Stuck in the body of a senior citizen, it's just a matter of time before Steve Rogers gets rejuvenated and assumes the mantle once again.  With Chris Evans contracted for at least three more film appearances, that's pretty much a certainty.  Once this Falcon/Cap arc is over, I hope that Marvel gives the whole recurring "Cap gets replaced" theme a rest.  It's a plot device they have gone to many times over the past few decades and I would like to see Steve Rogers get a nice uninterrupted run as Captain America for a change.

By the way today's cover  has repercussions that will be felt tomorrow, so stay tuned!

One thing that wears me out and gives me a sense of fatigue is no matter who's writing, there really aren't that many situations or stories that can be told. It seems like every few years, the same stories come back. Or sequels or revisits...

Great cover, and tomorrow it is revealed the Unknown Solider is the new 'man on the wall' to replace Nick Fury. (see Original Sin mini)

I have to agree with you on that one, Ross. Story arcs like "THE DEATH OF CAP" are done purely to increase circulation. Ergo, they're technically false advertising! Similar to DC's increasingly misnamed "THE FINAL CRISIS."

Can't wait to see what the next issue's cover entails, and how it relates to this> CA meets the Creature Commandos? The Losers?

Great cover! Simple but effective design, with surprisingly simpatico images. And once again, this is a team up story I'd love to read. Your hook really makes me want to open up the comic to see what unfolds! Nice job!
