Wolverine and OMAC

Logan could also be described as a one man army corps, so this is a pairing that I think could work well.  Now that I see them side by side, it makes me wonder - did Jack Kirby ever draw Wolverine for Marvel?  I can't think of a time he did, let me know if I am forgetting an issue.

Jack Kirby left Marvel in 1970 and Wolverine appeared first in Marvel iin 1974 so unless he Kirby did some special post leaving Marvel or drew him for a comics magazine No.

I do love me anything by Kirby and Trimpe cover, love the concept of OMAC and Wolverine being together, but is the fantastic weaponry by Sal Buscema or Kirby and where are they from.

@me: Kirby left Marvel in 1970, but he did come back in 1976. But it doesn't appear he ever drew Wolverine during that period, either. (His Captain America and Black Panther runs were off in their own little corner, not generally interacting with the main Marvel Universe, and his other books like The Eternals and Devil Dinosaur were intended to be their own continuities (even if Marvel later integrated them). He also drew some covers for books he wasn't drawing at the time, like Avengers and Fantastic Four, but it doesn't seem Wolverine was ever on any of them, especially since it was before he became popular, so there wouldn't have been much reason for Kirby to have used him in anything.

So it looks like no official Kirby Wolverine drawings were ever done.

Not an easy couple to find these days. Early Logan had so much potential. Shame he could never get out of his shell. Wonder how he would do as an Iron Patriot? Would he last longer that way??

Which means it was probably the Hulk, rather than OMAC, in the right-hand background of the original cover.

I feel sorry for the hands holding those guns. Wolverine will no doubt turn their former owners into one-armed paper hangers!

Logan's original costume definitely looked better in the comics than it would have in the X-movies. Thank God, Hugh Jackman wore the black unitard!
