Another Two-Part Epic begins here! I have not heard any word on whether the Original Guardians of the Galaxy will show up again in James Gunn's third volume of the movie series, but since it will be his last outing for Marvel, I hope he finds a way to include them. Now, which JLA enemy have they shown up on this cover to help defeat? Make sure you come back tomorrow to find out!
These two teams also shared an adventure back in STF #2018...

Greatest enemy, huh? Who might that be; Despero; Starro; Felix Faust?
My money's on...Snapper Carr!
"Man! Like, I'm tired of being treated like the Rick Jones of the JLA. We are terminally splits-ville!!"
Dr Destiny, Joker (in place of Snapper), or more likely....poor circulation & sales.
But Ross, you used The One Cover With no Pizzazz! No Flash!!
Ross, why did you modify the League faces?
I didn't
Flash (Barry) wasn't at there, having been imprisoned because only he knew about Earth-2 back then. And the image isn't from the original cover, it's from one of the history retrospectives, but only Ross can tell us which one
I'll say it will be... Starbreaker. In their travels, the original GotG may have some critical intel on bringing him down.
nice to see that you chose to use the Guardian’s with Nikki,
she is often forgotten but was a nesassary character .
When the first Guardians movie came out, this is who I thought I’d be seeing.
@Bobbo: maybe when Phase 5 finally introduces Kang the Conqueror, we can also finally get the original 31st century GOTG, as well.
the cover art from Crisis on Multiple Earth's volume one from DC.....
a few suggestions follow....
Cobra Crew meet Cobra Kai....
DC's Metal Men meet ITV's Sapphire and Steel....
Ross this cover was very well done....
Maybe it's because of the Silver Age setting, but I'm slightly amazed that nobody has yet come up with the League's greatest foe as Darkseid. But if this is set at a point where Darkseid has yet to come forth, I'll go with Despero.
What could you do with Secret Wars and Super Powers (limited to just characters from the first wave of each toy line)? You have Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Hawkman, and Green Lantern vs Dr Doom, Kang, Dr Octopus, Magneto, Lex Luthor, Joker, Penguin, and Brainiac plus a few vehicles and players.
My namesake brings up some interesting pairings. To which I would humbly like to add...Evel Knievel vs. Batman's Mobile Crime Lab!
I'm just curious, now. Has this version of the GOTG ever met the LSH on this website?
@ Detective Tobor: I noticed it too. But I think that JLA art was altered for another cover. Check out Super Team Family issue 2539. That Darkwing Duck team-up was hilarious! After that, it looks like the JLA are using a VPN on that crystal ball these days.
@Carycomic: almost! See STF #2719.
@Ken Roskos, #2539 is the original art for the cover of JLA #21. Thanks.
You want him to use toys or artwork? I'm sure there is artwork made for coloring books and other merchandise that could be used.
Like, for instance, the evil Dr. Weird (who once took on the Fantastic Four in a Big Little Book) vs. his heroic namesake (from the Knights of Justice).
