I haven't had a chance to see Black Panther: Wakanda Forever yet, but I am looking forward to it. I really liked Shuri and M'Baku from the first film and hope to see them both with larger roles this time around. I'm still not sold on Namor, we'll see if the writing and performance can overcome the fact that he looks absolutely nothing like the comic book character.

Well, I saw it, this past Saturday. And, as stated in my offical review @ IMDB, I gave it 9 stars out of 10.*
*For Namor's needless backstory tweaking.
As I generally do these days with Marvel movies, I saw BP:WF on its first screening last Thursday. Shuri's role is definitely larger than in the first film; it's not really a spoiler to point out that she takes the lead (and title) role. It's hard to say about M'Baku, but it's definitely not smaller and the character is nicely developed.
As with Cary, I'm not happy with how far Namor was taken from his background in the comics, rooting him perhaps too deeply in Mayan culture, though his standing as an antagonistic antihero remains intact. It'll be interesting to see how he figures into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
(But he doesn't look "absolutely nothing" like the comic book character; Ryan Coogler was very keen on keeping his pointed ears and ankle wings, at least.)
On the whole, I'd say that this is a very fitting closing to Marvel's Phase Four. The Phase's overall theme does seem to be "The Successors," at least in part: Yelena Belova, Sam Wilson, the Loki variant, Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan, Jen Walters, Love* (arguably), Riri Williams, and Shuri. I'm not sure how significant it is that all but two of these are female. (And Cassie Lang is waiting in the wings.)
*Gorr's daughter in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Fred Hembeck did a good job on his version of T'challa. I could almost swear I was looking at a cross between Batman'92 and Courageous Cat!
What a 'cat & mouse' type cover...right out of a Simpsons episode.
Have to wonder.. what would a crossover be like of Fred and Alex Ross?
Kind of like Bizarro meets Nightmare, I imagine. ;-)
Now, if only Ross can "persuade" Mickey to team up with the TMNT.
