Deadpool Vs. Lobo

This is a crossover that I would love to see actually happen.  I'm not even a very big fan of Lobo, but a story pitting him against the merc with a mouth has a lot of entertaining potential.  I imagine that neither combatant would be very impressed with the other, and the insults would be flying as fast as the fists.

ok....,Doesn't Lobo have super strength? He could bury a standing up Deadpool inside a mountain top of heavy material and Dadpool could be stuck there for a bit. Could Deadpool be buried under the sea and be stuck there? Mr Dv blows thru town.
Now Lobo vs Namor..?? goodbluck.

Oooh, Namor vs Lobo! Nice matchup! I'd buy that issue. Or Lobo vs Magneto. Lobo vs The Thing, both chompin' their respective cigars!!

"Ya lousy bastiche!"

"Okay, that's not even a word."

Tell that to Richard Dmitri, as Roman Moronie, in JOHNNY DANGEROUSLY.

It's a pastiche that's found it's niche :/

As much as I appreciate this cover for both the powerset matchup (both are good at regenerating lost body parts) and the alliterative blurb, the Marvel character I'd most like to so Lobo go up against is Wolverine.

Only if they're violently competing for Maxima's affections.

@Bob & Anon511: I can see it now. "Has the Main Man Met His Match? THE BEST THERE IS..."

That was one of the match-ups in the 'DC vs. Marvel'/'Marvel vs. DC' limited series that led into the Amalgam comics.
It was one of several fights whose results were determined by polling fans, and Wolverine was rather more popular than Lobo so he won. That issue's creators couldn't wotk out how to show Logan actually achieving this result, gievn the difference in powers (with Lobo not only super-strong but having that "from each drop of blood, a new Lobo" aspect), so they set most of the action behind an opaque obstacle -- the bar in a drinking establishment, IIRC -- from whence Wolverine arose triumphant.
The most popular explanation among fans for how Wolverine won was that Professor Xhad bribed Lobo to throw the fight.

Here's an idea that's just occurred to me about Lobo in the STFU _ It's canonical according to DC that his name is a Khundish one, so maybe his Czarnian people originated & have their powers as the 'Deviant' (or even 'Eternal') branch of the Khundish species?

As he's the sole survivor of his people, Lobo could also be considered the DC equivalent of an Elder of the Universe!

Good point.

It is a word. I have just said it.

"It" would also make a good title for a Stephen King novel. ;-)
