The Rhino Vs. Killer Croc

Brutes like these two may not be the most complex villains around, but you can usually count on them to provide some good action scenes.  It might be fun to watch them go up against each other... just don't expect a lot of thought provoking dialogue.

Great cover!
With the passing of Kevin Conroy, my favorite issue of The Batman Adventures is Number Seven. Ty Templeton is no slouch, but the late, great Mike Parobeck took over with a story featuring Croc as a wrestler. I've always wondered what a confrontation between Croc and Kraven would look like (if Kraven were a wrestler, instead of a hunter...) I'd imagine that Croc might find some refuge among The Moleman's crowd. He might be an interesting Enforcer or Lieutenant...

Croc has had a variety of backgrounds and levels of capabilities. Some stories with some concern for him. Rhino has also be given a bit of growth. Now, you throw in the Scorpion and could create a potential new themed group.

Not to worry, Ross. I'd simply regard such a story as a pastiche of the Marvel issue of GI JOE wherein Snake-Eyes first took on Storm Shadow. Now, _there_ was a story that never needed word balloons!

@Ross & Cary: maybe Croc and Rhino could join the Silent Partners.

I can see the Bat and the Spider doing a lot of damage control on this one.

But I think Tobor's on to something. Add the Scorpion to these two, perhaps add the Lizard, King Shark, and a couple of indie beast-villains, put someone in charge of controlling them,* and you have The Menagerie!

*But who? Ringmaster? The Leader? Mastermind?

@Anon@8:01: Who I personally would love to see get a guest appearance with the Silent Partners is Deadpool.

PS: Besides Kevin Conroy, I was also thinking today about the passing of William Hurt, who played "Thunderbolt" Ross. It occurs to me that, even without that link, a showdown between Batman and Red Hulk would be interesting.

Is the character of Everett Ross supposed to be Thunderbolt's nephew or Betty's half-brother?

@Anon@4:13: In the comics, as far as I know, Everett is no relation to the General. In the MCU, they might be related, but if so it's never been revealed to the audience. Ross is a reasonably common surname.

But for the guy here who's given name is Ross: In the STFU, I'm sure at least one if not both of those guys have a cousin named Pete, who grew up in Smallville.

On the subject of characters who share the same surname often being related to each other, particularly in the STFU, I wonder whether Stve Rogers has/had a cousin named Fred Rogers who lives/lived in a notably friendly neighborhood? I think that the two of them would probably get on quite well with each other.
(A quick search online using Google reveals no official comicbook adaptation about Fred, just various pieces of other artwork [even including a fan-drawn
crossover in which he proves worthy to lift a certain hammer!], but a 'photo cover' shwing the cousins together might be technically feasible...)
