Batman & The Outsiders and Ghost Rider in: "Cult of Vengeance!"

Howard Mackie and Javier Saltares' relaunch of Ghost Rider in the 90's really made an impression on me.  I remember being disappointed that the series would not revolve around Johnny Blaze, but the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider design was so cool it was hard to resist.  I especially liked the new look for the motorcycle, with its flaming wheels.  Plus, Johnny joined the series soon enough!

Hmmmmm! That globe must contain holy water. Because ordinary H2O would have no effect on GR's "soul fire." Still, those guys in purple don't look like Christian extremists to me. More like Galactus groupies who ripped off Abner Jenkins' original Beetle look!

I was a child in the 70s and Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider was almost over as a comic book. The title was bimonthly and I remember the last few issues, starting with the introduction of Steel Wind. When Ghost Rider was revived in the 90s Danny Ketch became my Ghost Rider. I love this team up. Ghost Rider, to me, was a loner but I could see him joining the Outsiders.

The timing of this post is bittersweet. Unfortunately the great Kevin Conroy, the legend behind Batman's animated voice since 1992, just passed away today

At least he was recognized as being "the voice" of Batman. A few years back he was taken off the voice work and told he would never do it again. The voice director had retired and been replaced.
Long story short, he was called back and the love for him had increased with what we saw we might of had to deal with. He didn't forget it either. What a guy.

Best of all, Kevin even got to portray Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Certainly, this character was far different from the animated versions -- a mashup of the darkest versions of the character -- but he did get to do it, and he did it well.

Ah, Kevin, you should've had another decade. You're missed.

Who or what was being summoned in the original version?

My wild guess? Siena Blaze; the Earth-STF daughter of Polaris Dane and Johnny Blaze!---Carycomic

I tried to think of something else to say with regard to Kevin Conroy's passing. But, all I can think of is the usual (yet no less sincere) offering of condolences to his friends and family.

@Simreeve/Anon647: IIRC it was the Outsiders' newest member, Looker, who was originally inside the bubble. I think it was her origin story, and she was being transformed from her civilian identity, Lia.

@Cary: When in doubt, keep it simple. Like I did.

Thank you. IIRC that transformation story is one that I've never read, although I did read the earliest BATO stories.

@Daviticus and Simreeve: didn't she later become a vampiress?

@Anonymous, Daviticus, and Simreeve: unfortunately, yeah. She went from Looker to sucker!
