Swamp Thing and The Falcon

I loved what artists like Steve Bissette and John Totleben did to evolve Swamp Thing's appearance and make him truly look like a plant elemental.  That said, there's something about Bernie Wrightson's original design for the character that always appealed to me as well.  It was a perfect balance between monster and hero.

The art style has been special, but it's been matched by the revised origin changing Swampy from a "ghost" of sorts to a "revised" plant.
Falcon's exo flight suit is still impressive.

I only just saw emsley's suggestion of Captain Hero vs. Condiment King. That's too brilliant to pass up; consider it seconded!

Another intriguing title! What could this particular horror be, however? Something plant-based would be my first guess. Does that mean Solomon Grundy somehow escaped from Captain Hero of Riverdale? I doubt it. Based on the coloring of that shapeless mass, I'd say it's more like a gelatinized colony of "red tide" algae microbes! The result, perhaps, of a collaboration between Llyra of Lemuria and Samuel "Plantman" Smithers.

My second guess is a little more unlikely. A protoplasmic Antarean metamorph (similar to Chameleon Boy's former "pet") infected with red kryptonite and accidentally brought to Earth by the collaboration between Reed Richards and Victor "Cyborg" Stone back in STF #3847. Why that should attract the Swamp Thing's attention, however, I cannot hypothesize at this time.

Maybe he was telepathically contacted by the R'malki of Interplaneteur, Inc. (who were experimenting on it, in the first place, for some reason)?

He was changed back to "a 'ghost' ofsorts", by using Alex Holland's spirit to form a new version, in 'Brightest Day'... although admittedly the DC multiverse has udergone several more coninuity reboots since then, so I'm not sure about the current situation.

Think i heard cw wants to go much cheaper on budgets for shows than super hero shows, especially if Netflix has lost so many viewers. I keep hearing HBO MAX has lost its sanity and DC has lost most of whatever it has had left.

Maybe for a future cover Ross, you could try Captain Hero vs Condiment King?

Dear Ross: how about a second reunion between the Lang cousins, Scott and Lana? I mean, the first one was over four years ago!
