Blue Devil and Banshee

In the comments section of a previous Blue Devil cover, Mike Shirley (a Patron of this Blog), suggested that Dan and Sean Cassidy may share a familial relation, and the idea appealed to me.  Thank you, Mike!  I've always like both characters and Banshee is that rare Ginger superhero that was actually portrayed by a Ginger in the movies.  It was a youthified version that was murdered off screen before the sequel hit, but at least they tried.

Why did it have to be family matters? Ride that spear Danny!
Some day, every genius villian will have a club house meeting on Monday.
And those who control or alter the mind or emotions will meet on Tuesday.
Wednesday will be reserved for the evil twins or the villian who is the reverse of the hero.
Thursday will have all the non-human humans of Earth group (ie: Rhino, king Shark, Scorpion, Cheeta, and so on).
Friday has god written on it for The Beyonder, Mr Mxyzptlk, Spectre, and so on.
Saturday is for Damage Control to clean and fix the clubhouse.
And Sunday is reserved for all their therapists to help each other.

"...at least they tried."

What Yoda would say if he were Irish: "Nay! Try not. Do or do not. There is nay try!"

Hi Ross, I enjoy your themes on heroes having their hidden family connections brought to light. The superhero/supervillain community still has to be relatively small, so I can see these groups arranging get-togethers: The Gordon family might still have a Norman Rockwell style Thanksgiving, while the Legion of Doom could have Car Night, bringing out those bad wheels! Being in a group doesn't mean things will always be lovey-dovey. Like the time when the MCU Nebula said that the GotG were not friends, Drax responded by saying "You're right, we're family."

It would be interesting for these two, on some future cover, to discover that one of their common ancestors was Butch Cassidy... even though his real name was Robert Parker.

Oh, and Ken's comment about Thanksgivings reminds me of my idea for a Christmas photo-cover: "Snake" Plissken rescues Santa Claus in "Escape from Ego, the Living Planet!" (An all Kurt Russell special!)

I must admit I forgot suggesting this one lol.
But I also dig these random family matchups :D

@ Bob Greenwade - Boffo suggestions! I'm tempted to ask for Jack Burton to lend a hand on the Santa rescue mission. (Like he said, you never can tell.) Getting back to your Butch Cassidy connection, would that also leave the door open for Robert Parker to be a distant ancestor of... Peter Parker? Web-shooters of the Old West!

I second Ken R's second motion. :-)

P.S. @ Bob Greenwade: don't forget Marvel Gunhawk Richard "Kid" Cassidy.

@Ken: To really make the Santa rescue mission complete, a little help from super-genius Dexter Reilly might be in order.

Sounds groovy Bob! Just as long as it's not Merlin Jones.

I cannot believe nobody has thought to ask just _why_ Mesmero is pitting the two Cassidys against each other. I say he's been mind-controlled into it by the Puppet Master who's been hypno-sonically brainwashed, in turn, by the sultry sound waves of...the Silver Banshee!

I mean, let's face it. Even Sean's niece, Siryn, is two-up on Siobhan McDougal Smythe for appearances here! Unless, of course, her supernatural alter-ego has been more successfully suppressed on Earth-STF. Like, say, by the intervention of Shamrock and the Phantom Stranger?

In fact, Shamrock, herself, is overdue for a second appearance, as well! So, pitting both ladies against each other would be a perfect way to remedy that.

@Three Bland Anonymice: so what you're basically saying is that Ross should kill two birds with one tone?
