Wasn't Daredevil and Elektra's relationship based on The Spirit's and one of his femme fatales?
The only danger Elektra might be dramatically fraught with, hanging around the Spirit, is from an insanely jealous Ellen Dolan! After all, it's a fairly safe assumption that a police commissioner's daughter knows how to sharp-shoot.*
*And, while I'm sure that skimpy red outfit genuinely allows complete freedom of movement in battle, it still doesn't leave much to the male imagination, either. ;-)
Elektra certainly puts the emphasis on the fatale part.
@Cary: Ellen needs to meet Barbara Gordon (during her Oracle period).
