Doctor Fate and Mr. Fantastic (Part Two)

Presenting the conclusion to this two-part epic!  As you can see, it was none other than Mordru stirring up trouble for the mage and scientist.  Let's hope they can regain the upper hand.

We're still waiting for a Fantastic Four casting announcement.  Some still think that John Krasinski will have the role, despite having already appearing as a variant Reed in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.  I won't be disappointed if they look elsewhere, though.  I kind of soured on his Mr. Fantastic after (SPOILERS FOLLOW)...

...the supposedly brilliant character acted stupidly (revealing Black Bolts abilities to the enemy) and then went out like a punk in 5 seconds flat.

First off? Thank you proving me half-right! I never knew that the King had ever drawn Mordru. As, more often than not, all foes of Superboy and the LSH were artistically depicted by the equally legendary Curt Swan.

As for the tactical goof by Reed-833 in DS:MOM? It would seem that even Mr. Fantastic's genius can only stretch so far...before inevitably snapping.

Even the comics' versions of Reed Richards (especially the Ultimate one) had limits to their genius as being in specific areas. Take it from me -- being brilliant in science or math doesn't translate into tactical or social brilliance in the slightest.

Cary Mordru is by Kyle Baker not Kirby

I would guess Mordru used a Legion time bubble or time cube to come back to the early 21st Century?

He’s Mordru! He doesn’t need those!

@Ross: I stand corrected. :-)

I was merely alluding to his being the brainchild of Messrs. Swan and Shooter.

@my namesake: Unless he's a mind-controlled Durlan or Skrull impostor looking to reconnect with Mordru's still-entombed-in-the-21st-century younger self.

In which case, these moai might actually be the monolithic versions of guard dogs!

"They ain't nothin' but rock hounds. Cryin' all the time!"

@Anonymous: That was funnier than Tom Hanks' phony accent throughout that whole movie!

On the one hand, Reed kind of hand to hold the stupid ball in MoM (and now I see the acronym, It's like Metroid Other M all over again) to further showcase how Scarlet Witch was a threat.

On the other hand, we got plenty of jokes and meme videos from it too.

Like, for instance; "Reed-833 should have gone into rock & roll. Playing 'Rubber Band Man' (and other snappy music)!"

Bob Greenwade said...

@Cary: Cute, though a bit of a stretch.

And to pick a nit: "Rubber Band Man" is soul (bordering on disco), not rock.

"Disco; soul; funk; even if it's daft punk! It's all rock and roll to me."

P.S.---with all due respect (and deepest apologies) to Billy Joel and Pharrell Williams---Carycomic.

@Carycomic: And Monica Rambeau's goal is to someday find a connection with Jessie Quick.
