Spider-Man Vs. Solomon Grundy

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is a movie that I have showed to a few different non-comic book fan friends, and they all have really enjoyed it.  They weren't thrown off by the multiverse stuff and the amazing animation wins everyone over.  The next installment in this franchise looks to be great as well, from what I have seen.  This time around I will make a point of watching it in the theaters on the big screen.

From the trailers I've already seen, it promises to be even more of a Storales shipper. As for today's cover? Miles looks suitably surprised that Big Sol is more like a plant man than a zombie. Makes me wonder; how would Big Sol do in a knock-down, drag-out one-on-one against Groot?

I second the motion. After all; a quick search of all his previous appearances shows that Grundy has never met Groot, even once!

This looks to me like the post-Flashpoint Grundy, who is an avatar of 'the Gray' i.e. the principle that lies behind Decay just as 'the Green' lies behind plant-life. This means that sending Groot against him successfully would probably require that Groot be an avatar of the Green.

@Simreeve: Maybe if he borrowed a power ring from Medphyll...?
