Planetary is a comics series that I have to pull out and read again. I takes a trip through many different genres with interesting characters and wide screen visuals Much of the credit goes to artist John Cassiday. I was lucky enough to pick up some original art by him several years back, One from Planetary and a two-page spread from X-Men/Alpha Flight:

Did not see Planetary coming. They did a great story with Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman being guests. Nice collection of originals that you share. .
I remember reading some of their earliest issues. The ones that vaguely (but cleverly) interconnected Bruce Lee, Jules Verne, the Fantastic Four and Showa-era Toho monster movies to the Wold Newton Universe!
Of course, it's twice as clever the way you finally connected two more long-lost relatives, together, here in the Rossverse. :-)
Great bringing in another 'indy' title, not one of the mainstream titles by the two big companies. I own all four vols of Planetary's tpb and I can tell you there's alot of amazing pieces you can pull and use from their pages. Like from issue 1 the Century Babies or the faked JLA. I'm thinking titles like Astro City, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Masks, the Mighty Crusaders, Project Superpowers, Big Bang Comics and even from DC & Marvel like the Amalagamverse, the Tangent titles, the Twelve, Marvel's: The Lost Generation & the 5 parter Mystery Men would add scores to the Rossverse.
Is Jakita German, like Kurt? At first blush, I'd thought you were going to make them father-and-daughter, but somehow cousins just "feels" better. Well, this die is cast, so maybe some time in the future Nocturne (Kurt's daughter Talia Josephine "TJ" from an alternate universe, and a staple with The Exiles) can team up with her Aunt Jakita... at least, if I can get you to read The Exiles, Ross. (And if you do, I doubt you'll regret it.)
PS: Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day, everyone! What a day to be able to talk in my Hondo Ohnaka voice!
How does a pirate spell "Rhode Island?"
"Arrrrrrr! Aye!"
