Hawk & Dove and Power Man & Iron Fist in: The Purple Man's Final Push!"

I remember first reading about The Purple Man in Marvel Team-Up #4, and thinking that he had a pretty scary skill set.  Brian Michael Bendis really took those abilities down a dark path when he used the villain in Alias.  While I wish he had the purple skin from the comics, I loved David Tennant's take on the character on the Jessica Jones Netflix series.

These two teams first crossed paths in STF #602...

2 X 2 = a really smoothly executed cover. These four look like a well established ... super team family (to coin a phrase).
I've just seen Hawk and Dove on Titans season 1 - great! Tennant's turn as the Purple Man awaits... but I've great reports of Jessica Jones.

So, he was behind the initial confrontation, way back then. Explains much!

But, I wonder how he'd react if his identically complected daughter, the Alpha Team member, fell afoul of Mandrill's mind-controlling pheromones?

I imagine he'd be insanely jealous that someone might have greater powers of "Persuasion" than his own. He certainly wouldn't rescue his Kara out of genuine paternal love!

This is what Batman was always afraid of- being turned to the purple side!

Ross have you done a group cover of mind control villains?

Have you thought to team The Creeper and Nova for The Ryder Clause?

I expected more of Dove because of her supernatural origin. I guess even she isn't immune to his "Purple Reign"!

Just wondered if the Purple Man could be made part of the Anti-Life Equation Darkseid is always looking for?

Hawk gave me an idea; Hulk vs Doomsday. Neither could fully win?

@Det. Tobor: I'd rather see that equation discovered in a pocket dimension called...Riverdale!

I think that a purple-skinned villain would be hard to take seriously in live-action (without an Infinity Gauntlet, at least).

It probably would've been even harder to be scared by a space-faring giant in purple armor in "Rise of the Silver Surfer." Hence, the ten-second portrayal of Galactus as an interstellar smog bank!

Would the P M be as scary looking if he was missing a front tooth?

Not as scary as the "Tooth Fairy" of Darkness Falls, Washington.

You people are all mad I tell you! You mean to tell me you never heard of the famous 'one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater'?

if it was a really hot day and Logan had She-Hulk, Powergirl and Big Barda would he have a six pack to go?

Carycomic said...

@Fisher: I have. Heard he got drafted into the military. He's now "Capt. Hornblower." X-D

The Purple Man's powers are pheromonal, right?

So, they only work at short range, right?

Frank Castle. Sniper rifle. No more Purple Man problem.

@Kid Charlemagne: if only he could be just as good at Spot-removal.*
