Black Goliath and Elongated Man
I watched the Flash panel at DC Fandome and saw the trailer for the upcoming new season. There was not one mention of Elongated Man. It looks like his character and storyline will be written out early on and the show will focus on other subplots. I was hoping maybe for a recasting of the character. I get that the producers had issues with the actor portraying him, but it's too bad fans of the hero will no longer get to follow Ralph Dibny's story.

Idea: Fury from Infinity, Inc and her honorary uncle, Nick.
Interesting combo. A potentially interesting mix of powers. I always liked Ralph (Mr Gingold) Dibny back in the day. Black Goliath I know very little about. Still I'd cheerfully read this if it appeared on the shelves.
Now this is ironic. Ralph was a good cop who went bad but got a second chance. In real life, the actor didn't do something bad today to be fired for a morals clause...it was BAD humor he did years ago and never erased from his social platforms. What has his behavior been like since he was hired? A dog lover who has gone out of his way to help animals? Really?? On set, did he do any stupid comments? Disrespect anyone since he was hired?
Female comedians have talked about "doing a joke into the ground." Bad taste, stupid comments that aren't at all funny. Some people see that as "Humor".
What did Hartly do SINCE HE WAS HIRED that earned him a firing? Anything? Flash gives second chances? Real life doesn't come close to the comic book version of values.
Maybe Roxxon is thinking about using the circus as a front for smuggling some high-tech weaponry (bought from AIM, of course) into Latveria for the anti-Doc Doom underground.
Agreeing with Tobor 100%. That someone can be fired for something done years before hiring is a 21st-century atrocity.
I will miss the character, but in a circumstance like this maybe it's a case of "there's the reason and then there's the excuse".
James Gunn made two brilliant Guardians movies for Marvel/Disney, but was subsequently fired over long-forgotten remarks for which he had since apologized. DC snapped him up for a hugely anticipated new Suicide Squad film, whereupon Disney decided abruptly that Gunn was penitent and reformed, and was welcomed back. The circumstances are about the same for Hartley Sawyer, except he isn't as popular/successful as Gunn, so it's okay to declare him unforgiven. Double-standard.
Enjoyable pairing of heroes for this tale, as they both would be perfect circus sideshow attractions. Perhaps part two would have other "freak show Carney attraction" type heroes?
I think Ross has already depicted such a group. The Roustabouts!
I wonder if plastic man may ever show up on cw verse

I gave up on series TV when cable companies went to all digital and to record shows I needed to also rent a DVD from company so not aware on exactly what this actor did.
Tobor & Bob Greenwade it is not just a 21st-century atrocity. It is not uncommon occurrence in classified world where you need to fill out extensive forms and if something you did will embarrass company becomes known you can be let go without chance to explain.
If companies can let you go for the Morales Clause - which is fair, it's fair that an employee has a right NOT TO GET RAILROADED. That happens a lot too.
@Glenn: There's a gulf of a difference between working for the CIA and working for the CW.
True! Remember how Paramount wound up getting engulfed and devoured in the early Seventies?
Well, no, but I wasn't paying attention to those things at the time.
@Bob: See Mel Brooks "Silent Movie."
