After years of false starts, it looks like we are finally going to get a live action Justice League Dark, now to be a JJ Abrams-produced series on HBO Max. I was happy to hear that The Demon is expected to be one of the team members. It will be very interested to see how he is handled. Will the same actor portray both Jason Blood and Etrigan? Will he keep his colorful look from the comics? And, most of all, will he speak in rhyme?
These two previously met in STF #2246...

I woke up this morning, saw who was featured here, and -- still groggy from the night's semi-sleep -- half-expected to see Etrigan speaking in anapestic tetrameter... that being the poetic meter favored by Ted Geisal, better known as Dr. Seuss. Then I started to visualize a cover: "The Demon tries Green Eggs and Ham!"
Just before that, I'd been reading comments on a "virtual theatre" production of Treasure Island that I was in Saturday*; the actor playing Long John Silver did his part in a dead-on impression of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. One thought led to another, and now I want a cover with Long John from Treasure Planet being confronted by Popeye.
Man, I really need to work on that sleep problem....
*This was on Facebook Live, by way of Corvallis' Majestic Theatre, and was recorded for anyone wanting to view. For good measure, it's also going to be posted to YouTube, and I'll post that link if it's up the next time we have a nautical cover here. (My role in the show was Blind Pew.)
Gone, gone, the form of man,
Behold the demon, Sam-I-Am
Actually there could be lots of crossover poetry by Dc Seuss.
This is not good, this is not right.
In brightest day, in blackest night,
My feet stick out of bed all night.
No evil will escape my sight.
Oh, my goodness.... "Horton Becomes a Green Lantern!"
To be followed by the X-Men and the Sneeches.
Then, the Cat in the Hat versus the Mad Hatter.
And: "One Flash, Two Flash, Red Flash, Blue Flash!"
Even if Ross doesn't do these, maybe someone on DeviantArt will.
Does anybody else think that Bailey Forrest (Julian McMahon's alter-ego as "Cole Turner" from CHARMED: TOS) would be perfect as the anti-hero form of Etrigan?
I think you're confusing Michael Bailey Smith with Forrest Gates (the Initiative commando who got Adamized on BTVS Season 4).
First I have heard of the HBO series. Matt Ryan up to play Constantine? It wouldn't be the first time he has jumped networks.
**NEW** from the same people who brought you Sunday and Tuesday Night at the Movies.. Monday Night at the Movies ...with the short "Prime Beef!" with Superboy Prime vs Prime (from Malibu). Being followed with that classic movie.."Too Dazed & 3 Knights" with those rambunctious knight hoods, Silent Knight, Black Knight & Shining Knight. Note -- Neither Merlin nor Popcorn are included.
@Horsefeathers - Wil Morgaine Le Fa and a snickers bar do?
Ross just forgot to mention that Etrigan the Demon has already met Brother Voodoo on covers #1828 and #2246.
I would still love to see another meeting (#53) between Etrigan the Demon and the The Gargoyle, now with the participation of Goliath from the animated TV series Gargoyles (#837).
Oops ... my mistake!
Ross cited the previous encounter between Etrigan the Demon and Brother Voodoo on cover #2246.
The cover #1828 - which I mentioned - is with Deadman.
@Anon1004: Oops! You're right. My bad.

Nah. But she's nuts for Dark Milky Way. Midnight flavor.
@Isaac: Well, sometimes you feel like a nut...
Oh, wait. Wrong brand.
I just want to know who Morgaine turns into after that snickers? Sabrina? Endora? Wendy? Somebody's ex-girlfriend?
@Jay Johnson Make that Crazy ex-girlfriend! To all who replied above....... zero (bar) for conduct! ;-)
who else but Sersi!
Candy bars are from Mars. Super-villainous women are from Central Casting. ;-)

@Carycomic, Didn't you ever hear of the movie 'Mars Needs Women'?
I thought they needed moms, more.
