Oh, this is a BEAUTIFUL cover. Not just the interaction, but the staging too. Having Chris coming from the TARDIS lends a lot more gravitas to this occasion. Well Done indeed Ross!

I need to apologize to every Tom Baker fan. I was channel surfing and saw a few seconds of Baker being chased by Daleks on PBS. In black and white. I kept on surfing. And I'm an Adam West fan. Fast forward years later, maybe 2010(?), my wife tells me about this new series that's streaming on Netflix with Christopher Eccleston - she thinks I might like it...
I'm just going to go hang my head in shame.

I echo Tobor's remarks, specifically having Chris jogging out of the TARDIS. It's even better that Tom was the Doctor when Chris was Superman. The parallel would be like putting Patrick Troughton with Adam West (which, now that I've written it out, isn't such a bad idea; the general "feel" of their respective portrayals would certainly have been compatible!), or Peter Davison with Helen Slater (not quite such a perfect fit, but potentially fun nonetheless, especially if done as a sequel to today's cover).
@Toby: It might have been a black-and-white print. For a time, many Jon Pertwee stories (most notably Invasion of the Dinosaurs) had only survived in B&W, and it's not unlikely that such prints were only available (at least, in AirDave's region) from Tom's period.
Great cover. Tom was my first Doctor and I've always enjoyed his appearances here. I've followed your work since the Brave and Bold days and never have been disappointed. I'd like to see a few more Batman team ups. And the fact that my real name is Bruce Wayne has no bearing.

I love all the work of Ray Harryhausen.
Superman, Mighty Mouse and Underdog flew out of the Tardis. The Doctor yelled to them, "This is a no fly zone" then beamed up to the Enterprise.
This is perfect! Superman dashing out of the TARDIS, the Doctor standing in a hey presto pose as if he's pulled a super rabbit out of his hat. Brilliant!
AND... Brainiac together with the Cybermen! Frabjous day!
I would have bought this as a real-world comic book in a New York minute. Especially, if it had been adapted from a real-world movie back in the Seventies/early Eighties. And, particularly, if Michael Berryman had been cast as Brainiac!
For those of you who might be too young to remember, he played one of the in-bred mutants (Tall, Bald, and Skinny) in the original version of "The Hills Have Eyes." All he would've needed to complete the fortuitous resemblance to Silver Age Brainiac is some green prosthetic make-up, a pair of matching-colored tights, and a purple acrobat's leotard.*
*And, no, Horsefeathers, I do not mean the leotard of a purple acrobat!
Arthur's mere mention of the name of Ray Harryhausen now has me want to see a cover where some of his creations are battling Godzilla.
Finally's use of the phrase "no fly zone" has me envisioning Lex Luthor, during his time as POTUS, laughing off the approach of Ant-Man and the Wasp using that phrase.
And Cary... Horsefeathers isn't the only person you'd have to warn about that! Now to just find a purple acrobat....

Supes is one of the best guests that guy from Gallifrey could have. He could usually find his way home on his own from most times and places (with yellow suns).
After the real life Star Trek next gen mini series with the Dr, this story could be an easy follow up.
Ross would McCoy and the Dr = Doctor Doctor...We can travel to eternity?

PS: Speaking of Doctor Who/Star Trek, I'm still waiting on the one iteration of the latter show that the Doctor hasn't yet interacted with on this blog, Voyager. The goal: to have the Doctor meet the Doctor.

Speaking of bones: it seems the shark jumped by the BBC, when they trans-Jennered the good Doctor, was able to jump higher.
