Enemy Ace Vs. Sub-Mariner

When we finally see Namor join the MCU, I wonder if the above look or something close will be used.  The green speedo is more iconic, and I am sure it will make an appearance, but I don't imagine they will want to keep an actor wearing just that for most of the movie (and especially if someone signs a 10-year contract).  I always thought that this back up design was cool, and will be happy if the live action Sub-Mariner wears it.

Love this! Only yesterday I was asking for you to bring back Subby and here he is. (But, Ross, you forgot to include Aquaman, as I asked. Shame on you. You could have had him sitting behind Enemy Ace, in a notional co-pilot seat. I'm going to imagine him there anyway.)
And Enemy Ace. I remember him vividly. Lovely (Joe) Kubert art. Wonderful to see him here.
Plus the Spear of Destiny. Our cup overflows.

I'm wondering if they're going to keep Namor's tiny ankle wings in the MCU....

I'm sure most female movie-goers wouldn't mind seeing Subby's portrayer wear one! ;-)

The real question is...Is Von Hammer trying to get back to the First World War? Or did Prince Namor get transported to then?

A l m o s t the reverse of yesterday. Sgt. Fury/Aquaman vs. Sgt. Rock/Submariner would have been more exact, but pretty close.

"No, you fool! I told you to bring me the Sphere of Density!"

I think you can expect to see something similar to this when we see Namor in the MCU, as well as the green swim trunks and at least one other. Multiple costume changes for major characters have two great effects: creating visual interest, and selling more action figures.

@Davejonz: No, "our cup overflows" would be the Holy Grail. #BadPunNoCookie

That's it - since there have been so many war stories here then do the big one - Sgt Fury & SUPER-Goof! No body will stick around to fight.

@Carycomic: either way, I bet the one who brought them together was that on-again/off-again Silver Surfer foe, the Flying Dutchman.
