I got a kick out of seeing Stilt-Man's stilts in The Gladiator's workshop in an episode of Netflix' Daredevil. He's one of those great comic villains that have a cool look and gimmick, but would be very hard to pull off seriously in live action. Still, they found a way to bring Arnim Zola to the screen, so maybe we'll get an honest to goodness Stilt Man appearance on the big screen one day.
These two had a Silver Age adventure in STF #1947...
Daredevil met the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle (though they were in new identities) in STF #2461...

Cool! DD and BB!
Certain team-ups or images just give me warm fuzzies. This is one of them. Ted got so little respect when he was brought into the DC universe proper, and I always loved him for his underdog status. For no reason, I feel like DD would give BB the respect he deserves - it almost seems like they’re opposite sides of the same coin. What a fun pair-up. Thanks for your continued excellence in presenting these awesome Team-ups. You keep the giddy 8 year old comic fan alive in all of us!
If they could do special effects for a live action Inspector Gadget twenty years ago, surely they could do a stilt man now.
I went back and looked at #2461, and it reminded me of the Amalgam Comics between DC and Marvel years ago. I have always loved the meshing of those histories into one story like Super Soldier and Bruce Wayne Agent of Shield, etc. I was just curious to know if you had ever considered using some of those amalgamated characters to team with another character outside the DC/Marvel universes, such as Spawn, Spirit, Green Hornet, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. Just wondering about that. It might be something to see.
I say the upgrades are discourtesy of Dr. Doom...just like on Earth-616.
Mickey,
One of my rules is not to make a crossover out of something that is already a crossover, so that rules out the Amalgam charaters.
Booster would be so jealous of this cover. 3 thumbs up.
On the other hand, that wouldn't rule out teaming up Iron Beetle with the likes of Bloodshot, XO Manowar, the Power Rangers, etc.
Sudden thought: The Phantom Stranger has a special mission for Jean-Luc Picard.
Or: The Monitor recruits Darkwing Duck, Gozmoduck, and Super Goof.
Not bad! How about teaming Cyclops, Megaton Man, and Dr. Solar (Man of the Atom)? You could call it... "Super-Visors Meeting!"
PssssT Hey, Ross; on the off-chance that you do do something in honor of his centennial, how about teaming FTC with OTG from "Sesame Street?"
Take my word for it. You'll _never_ depict a more odd couple! ;-)
nah. FTC with Mighty Mouse. that's the ticket.
And the same middle name
I would love to see the interaction between Ted Kord and Mike Murdoch. Matt goes undercover and you don't know what or who you're gonna get.
now for something completely different
center stage. Felix reaches into his bag and pulls out the head and upper shoulders of THE PHANTOM STRANGER.
@Anon731: Mighty Mouse and a shrunken Spidey vs. The Black Cat would be a more sought-after ticket.
Care to consider Felix the Cat and Big Bird for that sense of style on the cover?
No, that has to be Bullwinkle Moose.
BM: Hey, Rocky. Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
Phantom Stranger appears
Bulwinkle: whoops, wrong hat
"Odd couple" -- clever.
Though to get really odd, one could always go with Freakazoid and Bizarro! (That might work for next April 1!)
If we're going for "odd", how about:
Krypto and Pluto ?
Krypto and Mickey Mouse ?
Pluto and Superman ?
^_^
@Bob Greenwade: I'd rather see Freakazoid vs. Earthworm Jim.
@Carycomic: I think Earthworm Jim would have to be "baited" into such a conflict.
;-D
The MLJ Comet could join them.
