Tintin and Captain America

The original plans for the Tintin movies was that Steven Spielberg would direct one, Peter Jackson would direct the second, and they would collaborate on a third.  Unfortunately , I have not heard much since the first one was released.  I personally loved the movie and am eager to see more.  I don't know that the box office was very impressive for it though - perhaps that's why the sequels are on hold (hopefully not for good).

Tintin does seem to have a following among the professionals. My only awareness is that he's somewhat like an international adventurer.
As to Cap, thwt looks like you spent some real time on it. Imagine if Kang had sent him back in time and when he woke up, he was greeted by Captain Caveman.

The last thing I could find, everyone was still enthusiastic about the second TINTIN film as of March of 2018, but they keep talking about the script not being ready, while Jackson has had to push back directing due to other projects. Spot diagnosis: The film's in turnaround hell, something everyone wants to do but can't get together to go on yet.

I got the same information as James, and like the both of you I'm very interested in seeing it.

Seeing Captain Ameerica here reminds me: I've been wondering what you have brewing for next Monday. Cap is probably comicdom's best-known veteran, with Nick Fury not far behind, but over at DC the military folks have generally been active personnel (during WWII), the most significant exception that I can think of being Batwoman. Putting her and Cap together for a cover might be interesting, even without the veteran angle.

Another interesting pairing thought: Superman and Captain Britain. There are rumors of Henry Cavill being cast in the latter role, but even without that connection I think the two would make for a good pair.

(I'm also hoping to soon revisit the rivalries of Deadpool and Ambush Bug, and Doc Samson and Harley Quinn.)

Oh, and here's a crazy Thanksgiving idea: Galactus and Matter-Eater Lad.

I'm looking forward to seeing Felix the Cat debut here on November 9 in honor of his 100th anniversary.

With the fourth season of Rick and Morty coming up this Sunday, maybe you could pair them up with the ORIGINAL "Lost in Space"'s Dr. Smith and Will Robinson, an often (at least) similar duo.

Rick & Morty should team with Doc Brown & Marty from Back to the Future.

Nah, that idea sucks balls.

Galactus in The Twilight Zone.
Felix the Cat & his bag of the Trix Rabbit with Lockjaw.
Captain America waking up in the past to Fred and Barney.
Marty McFly and Luke Skywalker cover Time & Space.
Read about Galactus in the Phantom Zone for spring break.
Captain America and Harley Quinn.
Galactus & Matter Eater Lad trying to eat phantom food.

Take 1 from column A and one from column B on this menu.

@ A Marvelous Knight: How about the Flintstones and Pokemon; like shellder-powered refrigerators, growlithe-powered stoves, and maybe even pikachu-powered microwave ovens. XD!

One wonders if Cap was frozen by a mind-controlled Jack Frost...or future Bat-foe, Herr Zero.

As much as I know you were annoyed by the spammed requests for Felix, Ross -- and most of us (including myself) right along with you -- I can get behind the one posted above, given the date.

psst, yeah you, bud. I hoid. So, may I suggest Shoeshine boy trying to get into a locked phone booth near the front of the alley.. In the back alley behind the theatre,
you see a gun's shadow on a wall.
In the middle of all this,Felix is reaching into his bag of tricks and. pulls out the annoyed heads of Moose and Squirrel! "Bullwinkle what did you do this time?" "I have no idea!"
Hear gunshot.

I too would like to see Felix The Cat come the 9th. Probably a bad idea to pair him with ALF, though! Maybe pit him against Felix Faust?

Also, while I'm at it, here's a suggestion I've been meaning to make for a while now: Brother Power and Brother Voodoo vs. Brother Blood!

My understanding is that the sequels were put on hold indefinitely when Steven Moffat was offered the role of executive producer of "Doctor Who" - he was part of the creative package deal and had only had time to complete the first script before that came up.

@Daviticus: I second the motion. That way, Ross could entitle it something similar to "Brotherly Loathe!"

Anony Mouse said...

wouldn't it be easier just to call it Brothers' Grimm?

Carycomic said...

Nahhhhhhhhhhh!

Then, Ross would have to find images of those skull-masked twins from the original Spider-Woman comic.
