Actually, I'm pretty sure Tigra's markings are supposed to be tiger-like; hence the name, Tigra. But the red tabby (or, as I've known them, orange tabby) isn't that much different -- white rather than black, though, as I recall.
The link to the previous Batman/Tigra adventure made me think of something for her and Catwoman. The two did meet way, way back in #19, but it might be interesting to see them discover that they have the same father: "Cats' Pa!" #BadPunNoCookie
Bob, Tigra has different lineage that will eventually be addressed on this blog.
Ross, would that be her relationship to Major Nelson from I Dream of Jeannie, or Dr. Fate?

@First Anonymous: actually, she was born Greer Grant! So, she's probably the love child of Ted "Wildcat" Grant by a lesser known Golden Age character: Marga the Panther Woman!
I will further hazard to guess that she was briefly married to a man named Richard Nelson. No, not the singer! I'm talking about an alias once used by Paul "Manhunter" Kirk. One that could have been resurrected by a Council-created clone of the latter who was, in turn, reanimated by...the Court of Owls.
Resulting title? "The Owls and The Pussycats."
After all these years I only just saw the joke in Wildcat's name. Guess I just took it for Grant, Ted.
But yes, I agree that a Cat/Wildcat link is more likely. I'd like to see Dr. Fate, though.

That way, one-time Superman foe Skyhook could be brought in as the main antagonist.*
*If memory serves, he liked to dress as the Time Trapper. Except he had bat's wings and abducted children!
