As another idea, how about Pokemon in Bedrock; with some of their powers, pokemon would be useful appliance parts.
Continuing about Pokemon in Bedrock, in a Charlton comic featuring the Flintstones, the electrosauraus whose make-shift hiding place switched Fred's and Bamm-Bamm's strengths was likely enough a de facto electric pokemon.
