Nexus and Booster Gold

The one major complaint I hear about DC films is that there is not enough humor in them.  For me, it depends on the story and character.  Marvel's movies have had plenty of humor, some has worked well (Guardians of the Galaxy), and some of it has been a distraction (Thor: The Dark World).   I'm thinking DC has a real opportunity with the announced Blue Beetle/Booster Gold film to be able to really stretch their comedic muscles.  They are a great funny buddy team in the comics and I think if cast well, they will be a blast to watch on the big screen.

Holy cow, I hadn't even seen the talk of a Blue/Gold movie. That would be awesome! JLI was te first comic I ever subscribed to back in the 80s. (Also, as far as humor in DC movies, I maintain that GL wasn't THAT bad...and we might be looking at a different DC cinematic universe if it had managed to succeed...)

I have to agree with Linneman. If Ryan Reynolds can bring even half as much humor to Wade Wilson as he did to Hal Jordan, the new DEADPOOL movie is bound to be a box office smash.

I've heard of this Nexus, only vaguely. Isn't he supposed to be some sort of cross between DC's Lobo and Space Ghost?*

*Which, btw, wouldn't be a bad idea for Issue #1410!

That's a point, shouldn't Lobo -- who, among other things, wiped out all of his own species apart from himself -- be fairly high on Nexus's list of targets?
And couldn't Nexus's fusioncasting, at least in theory, incinerate Lobo so thoroughly that there wasn't even a single drop of blood left from which to regenerate?

@ Simreeve - If Nexus is going after Lobo, let it be that Twilight sparkle version from the nu52! ;)

Nah! Let it be the adult version (who looks like the love-child of Wolverine and Morbius the Living Vampire).
