Batman and The Hulk (Retro)

It will be cool to see The Hulk return in next Summer's Avengers film.  Mark Ruffalo is doing the motion capture to define the CGI performance, so it will be interesting to see the final product. What has me even more interested, however, is the Hulk TV series that is on the horizon.  Not much has been said about it, but the involvement of Guillermo Del Toro has me eagerly anticipating it.  With him behind the scenes, you know that the Hulk will be going up against some fearsome adversaries instead of mobsters and rednecks like in the Bill Bixby series!

Of course, It's one of my all-time favorite comics, and probably my favorite crossover ever! Len Wein and Jose Luis Garcia Lopez goodness!

On a tangent, I am really liking the 1960s Batman logo. It conceys mystery and action very well, especially when it is tilted on a slight angle. I always seemed to prefer the 1970s, Mego-era logo, that looks like it was based on the Adam West TV show logo, but redrawn by the person who did the Monkees' logo... but the more I see of the 1960s logo, the more it is fast becoming my all time favorite Batman logo.

Dave sez,

Mark Ruffalo makes movies better. I am so looking forward to The Avengers.

I hope there are no Skrulls; I hope they save the Skrulls for the FF reboot...

I will concede that the Bill Bixby-Lou Ferrigno version of The Incredible Hulk was NOT The Hulk. It was The Fugitive...featuring The Hulk. It was cheesey goodness. I liked it.

The Hulk TV show should be interesting to see where the character goes and what they attempt for TV...

Very nice cover. Love the depth of field this visual presents.

I have to say this cover works very well, in that both the Hulk and the Dynamic Duo really seem to be interacting with/part of the background environment. I honestly can't tell which was pasted in and who "belongs" to the background. Very nice work.

Lizard - Thanks! That's how I judge a successful cover - does it look like it could have been real and would I want to read the story depicted.

Dave, Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of fondness for the Bixby/Ferrigno Hulk... The pilot episode is especially well done.

What a sweet cover! One of your best creations. I've been looking forward to this possible Hulk TV series myself. I actually thought it would have gone to pilot by now.
