The Thing and Star Trek: The Next Generation
I was a big fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation during it's run. The first couple of seasons were fun, but by the third the show had really started to hit its stride. I can always tell if a rerun is going to be good by if Riker has a beard in it or not. My favorite episodes focused on either Picard or Data as those were my favorite characters. I also loved any episode concerning frequent guest star Dwight Schultz as Reginald Barclay, those were always interesting. The TNG films have been a mixed bag, but I do feel that First Contact is one of the best Star Trek films with any cast. Star Trek: TNG's two-part episodes were always the highlight of the season. The Best of Both Worlds, which introduced the Borg and Unification, featuring Spock, are a couple favorites. Of course to me the absolute best Star Trek:TNG epsode is the finale, All Good Things. In fact, I would have to pick that as my favorite final episode for any series... it really was a great send-off.

Dave sez,
I like that TNG never tried to be TOS...except during the writer's strike...
:)
The writing on the series was great. I kinda think that by the end of the series they had painted themselves into a corner as far as the films, where they wrapped up all the decent storylines... The Best of Both Worlds, Unification, and the Lore storylines could have made excellent films.
I liked "Insurrection" best of the TNG films, mostly for the focus on the Prime Directive as well as Data and Picard. The idea of taking people and relocating them with a holodeck ship was pretty cool!
And, you can't beat Anthony Zerbe as a bad guy!
still need thing and star wars, starfire, supergirl, superboy, superman, star trek deep space nine /voyager
