Batman and Night Nurse

Here's another example of a character that had to wait decades before being given another shot. Night Nurse has shown up in the past few years in Daredevil and the mini series Dr. Strange: The Oath in a role that makes so much sense I can't believe nobody has thought of it before. She runs a secret treatment center for superheroes injured on the job. It's a cool concept and I hope to see it used further. I also quite liked her relationship with Dr. Strange, so if he is given another series, it would be nice to see her as a supporting character.

I have to say that this is your best one yet. Almost made me go down to my basement and check my box of B & B's to see if I had this one already!

I was in middle school when I bought this issue! Great memories it brings back. Although, in retrospect, it was kind of weird for the B&B writers and artists of that time to depict Batman walking around the streets of Gotham City in full costume in broad daylight. The more extreme Bat-fans of today would probably decry it along the lines of...

"Of course, he wound up getting snipered. He was walking around the streets of Gotham City in full costume in broad daylight! That would be uncharacteristic of the modern Dark Knight...and more typical of campy Batman '66. What were the writers and artists back then thinking?"
