Spider-Man and The Atom

When Marc Tyler Nobleman, Comics' historian and Patron of this Blog, suggested I pair up Spidey and The Atom, It was a no-brainer.  No only have I not teamed them up before, but their costumes actually go together pretty well.  I never noticed that before.  Thanks, Marc!

Knowing Taskmaster, he probably imitated some of Arcade's technology in order to get the drop on Spidey. Like, say, a MaryJan-droid filled with knock-out gas?

But, if he seriously thinks he can just crush Atom underfoot, he's got another think coming! Because, Atom's size-and-weight controls can increase his strength to the proportion of a six foot-tall man who engages in regular physical exercise while still remaining at only half a foot in height. Thereby preventing him from suffering such an...ig-Noble fate. ;-)

Those costume designs certainly do go well together. And I think that Ray and Peter would get along well, both being scientifically-minded (though Ray's a physicist and Peter's more of a chemist).

On the other hand, bring together the Sixth Doctor with Sabine Wren....

Didn't you have them together on an anniversary issue?

Unfortunately, no. They did not. :-(

After Ray shrinks out of sight, what is Taskmaster going to do? Ray can pop up anywhere.

@Bob Greenwade: well, they might have much in common, re: outfits that are mostly orange-and-green. But, in terms of strategic slyness and tactical deviousness, I would think a Mandalorian would have more in common with the 7th Doctor!

Is it just me? Or does it look like Spidey is doing that "v-for-victory" thing (usually reserved for ruining a family backyard barbecue photo-op) behind Taskmaster's hoodie?

@Anon@9:53: It's just you. Those are Spidey's fingers and thumb, in roughly the same position as his left hand but seen from a different angle.

@anon953: What Bob said. :-)
