I have to admit that Freddie Stroma won me over Peacemaker. At first, I felt his portrayal was a bit too broad, but he leaned into it with such conviction that I had to laugh. Still, the supporting hero is so far in personality and back story from the Adrian Chase/Vigilante of the comics that I really wish they had just created a whole new character. That way we could have still had Stroma's amusing antics without having to radically alter a pretty dark and serious ant-hero from the comics.

I really enjoyed the Vigilante series (except for the ending). I agree that the character in the Peacemaker series should have been someone else. It ruined some of my enjoyment of the tv show.
The vigilante was done ok on Arrow. With his history With Magic, I'm surprised Vig had something to take Fisk down. But as covers like this go, it hit the bullseye.
I don't stream any series. But, from your bare bones description, it sounds like Stroma should've been playing "Red Tool" (a Deadpool parody who had a brief fling with Harley Quinn in the comics).
Castle would love this, Spidy and Daredevil? Don't think they would have any complaints. Even Paste Pot Pete would probably give it a smile.
@Det. Tobor: you might even say that he'd be so happy, he would come unglued.
Oh that Kingpin, always napping on his office floor XD
This is one of those rare ones for me where I recognize the source (for the Kingpin anyway)
That was one of the first issues of What If? I ever owned
"I bigger plans for you, Fisk."
Like, say, using him as a Judas goat to lure the Punisher into an inescapable trap? "Fourth time is a charm" and all that jazz?
I'd still prefer seeing Greg Saunders and John "Man-Stalker" Targitt going after this Vigilante on the grounds of plagiarism.*
*A la the Lex Luthor/Green Goblin feud. ;-D
Although, I'm the first to admit even those two would not find it easy "Chasing" him down.
@Cary: and you have the nerve to groan at my puns. :-(
Immensely and shamelessly. :-)
James Gunn ruined Vigilante. Turned him into DC's Deadpool.
