She-Hulk and Starfire

She-Hulk on Disney+ was definitely a mixed bag, and I wound up somewhere in the middle.  I liked the first and final two episodes, but found the rest to be pretty much a waste of time.  It definitely felt like a rough draft of a show that needed to be tightened up and to have writers with more of a legal background brought in.  Also, for a comedy, I wanted to laugh more (Madisynn was the comedic highlight for me).  Still, I liked Tatiana Maslany in the role, actually enjoyed the slightly lighter take on Daredevil and the breaking of the fourth wall in the final episode reminded me of the classic John Byrne run on the character which brought a big smile to my face. Oh, and seeing Mark Linn-Baker back on TV was great, I loved him as Jen's dad.

I'll wait for Season 1 to come out on DVD.

Is Starfire's energy hitting Jen on the butt? Cheeky!! Especially with Kori having been such a "model" hero for so long.
I would love to see a Stan moment.... Some regular joe goes by and goes "Mr Hawkeye, can i have your autograph?" Of HM.

"Skree"?! Isn't that Redwing's battle cry?

Seriously, though: I have to wonder if this might really be a holographically disguised Dr. Light trying to exploit She-Hulk's super-strength (and initial Savage-era volatility) to massacre the Teen Titans.*

I remember a "declassified" adventure of the JLA where he bragged about inventing the exact opposite of the "love light" mentioned in "Let Me Call You Sweetheart."

*That little white dress is what Shulkie used to wear, immediately post-blood transfusion...and way before she caught Deadpoolitis.

@Cary: truth be told, I think Deadpool actually caught it from her. ;-)

The final episode went beyond breaking the fourth wall, and went to what I refer to as the fifth wall: the barrier between the characters and the people behind the scenes. That was a staple of the Byrne era on She-Hulk as well, and rarely happens with other regular fourth-wall characters (though I've seen it with Ambush Bug from time to time).

The bit with the Disney+ menu screen was definitely Byrne-worthy, and was executed brilliantly.

I'm still hoping that Season 2 has at least a cameo from Deadpool. Seeing how these two breakers of the fourth wall interact, even for a few seconds, would be a hoot.

Sounds more like a Hope and Crosby picture from the Fifties: "Road To The Fifth Wall."

Ah! But, there again, someone else was first. See STF #1552. ;-D

I'd like to see a reprise of the closing from The Waltons.
"Goodnight Hulk." "Goodnite She-Hulk" "Goodnite Granny Hulk." "Goodnight Hulk Boy".
" Goodnight Red Hulk." "Goodnight Red She-Hulk." "Goodnight Deadpool."

@Det. Tobor: Lol! Reminds me of an actual pastiche that I read on-line. A "Waltons/Incredible Shrinking Man" crossover! Here's an excerpt:

Mary-Ellen Walton (opening a shoe box and smiling down at something inside): "Goodnight, John-boy! Goodnight, Erin! Goodnight, Jason! Goodnight, Ben! Goodnight, Jim-Bob! Goodnight, Elizabeth!"

All of the above (incredibly shrunken): "AHHHHH, SHUT UP!"

Thanks for reminding me, Anon! I reposted that story to Ordinaryguy2, earlier this morning. :-)
