There's talk of more Planet of the Apes movies on the way, but I'm not sure where in the timeline they should take part in. I really enjoyed the last three installments, but they ended at a natural place. Do audiences really want to see a movie about the apes finally crushing down the last remaining sickly humans? Maybe it would be better to jump forward in time and depict an all-ape conflict.

it was supposed to be no animal would hurt its own species.. see how long that lasts.
Your cover is Da Bomb!!
"Ape Shall Never Kill Ape" was most successfully proven, as far less-than-inviolable, in Tim Burton's 2001 remake of POTA. In the scene where the over-ambitious Thade killed the two gorilla scouts the crash site of Mark Wahlberg's spaceship! I therefore think it would behoove 20th Century Studios to do a sequel taking up right where that film left off. Showing what happened to Wahlberg after his second crash-landing...in Washington, A.C.*
*Ape City, of course.
Sorry! That should've read..."the two gorilla scouts who showed him the crash site..."
Oops! Almost forgot my original postscript. First off? I love the title! Your punniest one, yet. Secondly? I'm forced to wonder how the HC's wound up that far in the future. Under the same circumstances as Sgt. Rock (STF #2019) and/or Indiana Jones (STF #3198)? Or is Per Degaton up to his old mischief for some other nefarious purpose?
Why couldn't Per Degaton be responsible for all three of them (Indy, Rock, and Nick) winding up there?
"Gorilla Warfare"? Really, Ross? Trust me, you're hardly the first one to think of that!
Never said I was... It's not easy coming up with over 4000 story titles without duplicating something that has gone before!
Sad results from monkeying around with the timeline.
See Daviticus? There are even worse puns than the title!
Apparently, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be about "Caesar's Legacy," featuring Cornelius, son of Caesar, played by Owen Teague. Personally I think it would be very cool if this included a few nods to the first movie series starring Roddy McDowall.
I'd love to see Dum-Dum Dugan turn out to be the long-lost brother of Patrick "Stripesy" Dugan.
@Ross, Anon409: Okay, fair enough! :/
Anon - the Dugan Brothers have already been featured on the blog.
Then, they're way overdue for a 2nd family reunion. :-)
How about having a cross over that would REALLY mean something? Bugs Bunny on the Planet of the Apes!
You could even have the General doing Porky's "That's All Folks" at the end.
Would Bugs once again be mistaken for a misdirected baby delivered by a snockered stork?
Cooouulld be.
