I am really curious to see how Namor is realized when he appears in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Reports are that his backstory will be altered to differentiate him from Aquaman. I hope they don't change too much and that he is still easily recognizable as the Sub-Mariner from the comics. I'm also very interested to see the underwater filming effects, they are supposed to use a completely different style than director James Wan has been using in the Aquaman movies.

Quicksilver ran differently than the Flash did, so why not. What I want to know is who Namor is going to talk to underwater? Nice cover 60s styleization.
I don't care how Marvel Films makes the Avenging Son look. Just so long as they retain the Spock-like ears...and omit a retractable trident-shaped prosthetic hand.
As for today's cover? My compliments! It looks like something Joe Kubert would've done for one of DC's horror anthologies back in the early Seventies. Back when "House of Mystery" and "House of Secrets" were still only twenty cents (plus sales tax)!!
I don't get the "Death-dealer" reference, however. Does one of Kevin Grevioux's werewolf-hunting vampires belong to the Acqueos sect? Or is that strictly an original character?

Clearly, these three will have their work cut out for them. Make a note, Ross, to re-use the Death Dealer for future covers. (He could even be the "Kingbreaker" from #3704!)
As for Namor, I'm going to reserve judgement until I've seen what they actually do with him.
This Death Dealer vs Frazetta's Death Dealer sounds like a good match
(Opus Comics is doing a "shared universe" with Frazetta's characters, with the blessing and cooperation of the "Frazetta Girls" his daughters)
@Bigby65: maybe they're one and the same. Imagine Frazetta's Death Dealer riding a giant seahorse! Sort of like a Marvel Zombie Namor.
@Anon258: Sounds more like an undersea version of DC's Black Racer.
This Death Dealer could be something else completely... like someone Gambit and Jack of Hearts might have to face.
It sucks that Namor has to avoid overlap with a version of Aquaman that's been heavily Namorized.
They won't need to omit the prosthetic as he never had one.
Then, they better retain the winged feet, as well.
There is a blurred picture of what he looks like but you can make out the ears and winged feet. He is wearing the green swim trunks as well and he appears to be wear Atlantean jewelry/armor as well.

I'm pretty sure the "retractable trident shaped prosthetic hand" thing was aimed at DC's "grimdark'n'gritty" revamp of Aquaman in the '90s. In other words "As long as Marvel doesn't imitate the worst thing ever done to the DC version of this character, I'm good."
Also, a fun way to change up Namor's story for the movie, would be to lean into his bi-polar condition. Establish that over the centuries, Atlantis has been both ally and enemy to Wakanda, based on the slow, molasses paced mood shifts of their current King.
When most people think of bi-polar disorder, they think of the "hypermania" flavor where people can turn on a dime. A lot of people have "hypomania" where the moods last for weeks or months, instead of minutes or hours. For Altaneans, who could have century long lifespans, that scale could be way bigger than humans have.
The crux of the plot, could be factions within Wakanda worried that Namor is about to take another turn, while he's struggling to control his emotions.
Mr. Basore brings up many legit points. Marvel Films should employ _him_ as a screen writer!
@Cary: Perhaps for a Namor solo project (whether movie or series).
He certainly couldn't do any worse than the so-called "professionals."
