Aliens Vs. ROM

Looking over various comics to find images, I have been struck by the gorgeous work of Jean Frisano.  Frisano illustrated the covers to many Marvel foreign reprints, and he had a unique painterly style.  I am surprised that I never saw him get some mainstream comics work, I would have been interested to see his interior artwork as well.

What a fantastic cover. Another job well done!

A most logical pairing, Ross. Given how the N'garai so closely resembled the xenomorphs, at the height of Chris Claremont's association with the X-men, I've often wondered if a Marvel/Dark Horse crossover featuring "Rom vs. Aliens" might include the Dire Wraiths being descended from N'garai-worshipping Skrulls!

Of course, Marvel/Disney now owns 20th Century Fox, so incorporating the xenomorphs into a Marvel mainstream publication wouldn't be so difficult. The real trick would be getting IDW/Hasbro to agree to a crossover publication!

I can't find any comics characters named Ram. That's too bad, because I think it would've been great to see a Ram vs. Rom cover.

(Even more fun, though, might be Bugs Bunny vs. Predator!)

Or Rom from DS9.

Ram was a member of the New Guardians from DC (from the Millennium event)

@Emsley: how about Rom from DS9 vs. Rom from DOS? ;-)

Surely somewhere in one comic universe there is a character called Com?
If so then we could have an STF RomCom

Wonderful!
And, yes, this does seem a "likely" meeting.

Maybe Jean Frisano turned down any offers of interior work because he doubted his ability to maintain this high quality of artwork over complete stories and still meet the deadlines? I'm sure that I've read of at least on other artist making such a decision.

Here's a suggestion for a new team:

"Some people say that Justice is blind:
They're almost right_
'BLONDE JUSTICE!' "

At its simplest, this is a 'World's Finest'-style teaming of Timely/Marvel's Blonde Phantom (Louise Mason in the 1940s, either Louise again [as she was rejuvenated back in She-Hulk's second series] or her daughter [who debuted there] in the 1980s) with the relevant versions of DC's Fury (Helena Kosmatos, and then Lyta Trevor).
This could be expanded to 3-member team, with a line-up concept closer to the original one for DC's 'Young Justice', by adding Marvel's Spitfire for the 1940s and DC's Jesse Quick for the 1980s... or expanded even further by adding some blonde heroines from other companies -- Sabrina, for magical assistance, for example -- as well.

@Giulio: Hey, thanks for the pointer!

Maybe Ram and Rom could share a ride through a hazardous region of space with the Space Cabbie. The title: "Hard Drive!"

@Emsley Wyatt, Davejonz, and Simreeve: If Quark's Bajoran sister-in-law ever gave birth to a daughter, and she was subsequently named Dorothy, would she called "Dot-Com" for short?
