Hawaii Five-0 was appointment television for me growing up, my brothers and I would watch the reruns that came on after school. Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett was the embodiment of cool to us, and the exotic locale might as well have been Mars, it seemed so far away from our small Massachusetts town. I just hope that Spidey finds enough Palm Trees to swing from once he joins the force!

John Rhys-Davies was Kingpin in one of Trial of the Incredible Hulk. I don't think he looked the part. For this fantasy I would prefer Orson Welles or William Conrad. Both were good actors with great voices and large frames.
Hawaii Five-O also had one of the most iconic theme songs ever.

Chin Ho was one of the Good Guys, Ross. Its only later, on other Hawaiian-based shows like the original MAGNUM: P.I., that Kam Fong played Bad Guys. Were you, perhaps, confusing him with the original Wo Fat (Khigh Dhiegh nee Kenneth Dickerson)?
Just because his credit is next to The Kingpin doesn't mean he's a bad guy.
This is very unexpected, and very cool! Next thing we know, we'll be seeing Spider-Man on Gilligan's island! (Maybe with Kraven the Hunter being played by... I dunno... Dan Haggarty?)
PS: I agree about using William Conrad as The Kingpin. Maybe some other time....
Oh! You mean, in an actual TV-movie, Chin Ho might've been working undercover as the Kingpin tried to expand into Honolulu? Interesting concept.
"Interesting" is putting mildly! Can you imagine Tom Selleck teaming up with Wesley Snipes to battle the Night Marchers of Hawaiian mythology?
And I'm picturing J Jonah Jameson being politely but firmly directed to stay out of police business by McGarrett.
Though seeing him on this cover makes me wonder what would have happened had Jack Lord played Felix Leiter in ALL the Bond movies in the 60s and 70s rather than just in Dr. No. His Felix is the only one I truly believe looked like he could be just as tough as Bond.

@Bob Greenwade: just as I can see the plot gimmick for bringing these two unlikely allies together in the first place. Paul Jameson (arguably best known for playing the over-ambitious marine biologist in CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON) was a recurring character as the governor of Hawaii. And one of his secretaries, May, was played by an actress named...Maggi Parker!
In short; suppose May of Honolulu was a cousin on the Reilly side of the family? Or a namesake goddaughter? Or something else genealogically equivalent?

I actually lived in Honolulu, went to the palace and Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, etc. We moved back to Kansas in the middle of my kindergarten year! But my brothers and I always looked forward to the show and the theme song with the views of places we've been! I always missed the beach!
This is an interesting team, if we have Hawaii Five-O we could include a long list of characters to show up, but photo covers would be limiting the choices. I like Gilligan or Hulk for starters. I'm always amazed at your creativity in teams and situations and finding the art that fits so well!

What a cool cover. A few seasons back, the current MacGyver teamed up with 5-0 in a great cross over. Add Peter Parker (and Clark Kent?) for a major 2 or 3 parter, and it would be an EVENT.
A bald and beardless Rhys-Davies?! Please, no! That would make him look too much like the Kevin Durand version of the Blob from "X-men Origins: Wolverine."
I have been to Hawaii 10 times to 2000. Somehow I do not think Spider-Man will fit in the Hawaiian landscape with very few tall buildings out of Waikiki. And that suit would be real tough in the Hawaiian weather.
I can see him joining 5-0 for a mission however with Steve McGarrett telling him if he is going to operate here he will need to be officially a member of 5-0.
He could modify his name to "Spider-Crab Man."
I was also going to point out how Rhys-Davies was once (a not too enjoyable version of) the Kingpin, and have to agree with the suggestion above, that William Conrad would have made a great choice for such a project instead.
@Carycomic: I don't think Ross is suggesting anything about Chin Ho being either a bad guy or an undercover agent. He's just poking fun at the actual Hawaii Five-O credits, which always ended with a card that said "...and Kam Fong as Chin Ho." (Or sometimes "... and Zulu as Kono.")
If you want to do more photo covers how about Addams Family and The Munsters? Imagine if Grandpa Munster and Grandmama Addams were a couple. Or I Dream of Jeannie feuding with Bewitched. Or Beverly Hillbillies and The Andy Griffith Show.
I've actually wished to see the Addamses and the Munsters interact since the two shows were originally on the air. I don't doubt that Lily and Morticia would get along famously, and Pugsley and Wednesday would've had great fun including Eddie in their various games.
In a similar vein, I long ago expressed a hope for Gomer Pyle to become what I guess would be "PFC Marvel," with the utterance of "Shazam!" That hope has dwindled, but not died out.
@Bob Greenwade: have Ross do a June bride special where we have Eddie Munster marrying Wednesday Addams; Pugsly Addams marrying Tabitha Stevens; and Marilyn Munster marrying Stanley "Mr. Terrific" Beamish!
He could then tentatively call it "Nice Day For A Black & White Wedding."
P.S.---yes, I know that "Bewitched" was only b&w during Season 1 and "Mr. Terrific" was in full color for its one-and-only season. But, my family couldn't afford a color set till the spring of 1967! So, I saw all _four_ of those shows were in black-and-white for us.

Actually, Chin Ho working undercover, against JRD's Kingpin (who's disguised himself with a toupee, fake beard and moustache) seems perfectly do-able for a TV-movie of this time period.
