Cloak & Dagger Vs. Two-Face

I'd love to see Two-Face get another crack at a live action appearance.  I was happy with what Christopher Nolan and Aaron Eckhart did with the character in The Dark Knight, he had a great origin and looked amazing.  Still, I was never satisfied with the fact that that Two-Face's whole career only lasted a couple of hours.  He deserves to be a bigger and longer lasting thorn in Batman's side the next time around.

But you don't say what you thought of his first time on the big screen with Tommy Lee Jones version.

They just painted teeth on Tommy Lee Jones' cheek. The less said the better.

@Ross and Horace: Oh! I don't know. Two cinematic depictions, of two hours' duration each, two decades part? That seems oddly faithful to the character. ;-)

The problem with Super Villains in big budget TV is more dramatic to kill them off and movie teams often take the easy way out by killing them. They are a lot like some writers who make a mess (i.e. Avengers where multiple Avengers died) and leave mess for someone else to clean up.

Glenn took the words right out of my mouth.

Sorry, guys, but this is the second time I've seen the comment about teeth painted/glued on Tommy's cheek for that role, and I just don't see it. I saw the movie when it came out, I've studied the makeup (as well as Aaron Eckhart's and those of various cosplayers), and I've even taken yet another look at multiple images and screen captures just now to be sure; and while the appliance is far from great work (oh, those missshapen, Joker-esque purple lips), I fail to see any teeth other than Tommy's own.

I otherwise agree with the original post: Eckhart's performance and look were wonderful, but the character only lasted for about a half-hour of screen time as Two-Face, and was relegated to the role of walking plot device by that point. Even more disappointing was what happened on Gotham, with Harvey making a promising appearance in early seasons only to fade away and never be heard from again.

But it would be great to see, for example, Ben Affleck's Batman deal with a Harvey Dent played by, say, Johnny Depp (who would totally nail the role, I have no doubt).

@Glenn: Of course cinematic supervillains will tend to die; only rarely do the producers and directors want to leave them around to be a part of future sequels (Luthor, Sivana, Green Goblin, and the Vulture being among the most notable exceptions). On modern TV, only the "Big Bad" villains are typically killed off, and for similar reason; the lesser villains have potential for later episodes, and more low-key personal story arcs.

@Ross, I'm a bit confused. When Two-Face says double time, does he mean they will be working twice as fast as others OR did he want them to work twice as long as they might have worked to pay off the favor?

Harvey always was a smooth dancer, even when he danced cheek to cheek.

@Bob, Ross, et Al: It's probably the low-quality work done with the rest of the prosthetic make-up that made TLJ look like he'd been given a false overbite. Me? After seeing "Batman Forever," I used to joke with my relatives (who only saw the two Keaton Bat-films) that the acid thrown by Boss Maroni was so powerful, it turned half of Billy Dee Williams' face lobster-red...and the other half Caucasian-white.

A Two-Face movie might cut deeper than The Joker Movie did recently.

Would the audience have to watch it from dual points of view?
