Metamorpho and The Hulk

I've been meaning to pair Metamorpho up with The Hulk for a while now, but I figured it would be a typical slugfest cover.  I stumbled on to these matching poses and they inspired me to go in a different direction.  It would certainly make for a unique story... and I'm betting out two stars would manage to get some smashing in by the end of it.

Sponsored by A T. & T., this new pairing may beat the threat of a virus as well.

Ya know if the bad guy geniuses cured the world medical problems they could be worth Billions each and treated as heroes all over. But let's rob a lab instead. duh.

It's ironic that this cover with the Thinker and the Mad Thinker posing our heroes as Rodan's Thinker was done without needing much thinking. It's still a great cover, though -- at least, I think so.

Another possible approach for teaming up these two would be to have Bruce (in "Professor Hulk" mode) trying to coach Rex on some obscure chemical process (in the middle of a crisis moment when that process is the solution*).

@Horsefeathers: That's sadly true (in principle) of many criminals, particularly cybercriminals. For such impressive intellects, they really are pretty stupid.

*Pun not intended, but appreciated.

I, too think this combo is smashing (#GoodpunYescookie).

Seriously, though: it's been too long since the "Mad" Thinker has graced one of your cover-sims. And, while I know Doc Doom is the favorite evil genius among Marvel fans, I've always favored the Thinker. I mean...think about it!

His real name is still unknown. His only known relative is a comatose nephew reminiscent of Nuklo (minus the radioactivity). And his ability to calculate statistical probabilities in his head make him borderline precognitive!

In short: there are always methods to his madness. But, there are very few superheroes smart enough to figure out what they are before it's almost too late.

Just one question: is his latest ally of convenience supposed to be a robotic fusion of Simon Stagg and Chemo? If so, only a roboticist like the Thinker could help accomplish that!

Oop! Disregard that last question. I just saw the parameter tags at the bottom. Cliff DeVoe must've hijacked one of Michael Holt's T-spheres and is projecting an intimidatingly big hologram.

@Cary: your first guess wasn't unreasonable. Simon Stagg could secretly be financing both Thinkers!

I seem to remember (or I may just be off my meds) a Suicide Squad story where DeVoe's body was killed and now he is just a cyber-consciousness that communicates via a hologram projector.

@JJ: you could be right. Or I could be crazy.

"But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for!"
