Actually, that blue-skinned harem girl is a brainwashed Dorma, back when the Serpent Crown was just being introduced as the coral-encrusted Helmet of Power. I think it became the Serpent Crown, once more, when it was sort of reintroduced during Steve Rogers' first foray as Nomad.*
*Following the classic story arc that culminated with the not-so-subtle hint that the Numero Uno of the Secret Empire, circa 1973, was actually Richard Nixon!
Etrigan is one of those characters with a distinctive speech pattern (always with meter and rhyme) that you tend to capture very nicely, Ross. Another is Ben Grimm, who has worked with the Demon on two occasions, most recently in #1076 (almost 5 years ago) and originally during your MTIO days. In neither case did The Thing get any lines! I'd love to see something where Etrigan says something eloquent, and Ben replies, "Yeah, whatever... It's clobberin' time!"
I will resist and not speak and verses here.
Etrigan the Demon is one of those Jack Kirby characters that you fall in love with or don't know. No middle ground.
Speaking of speeches, I would love to see you again (#485) with Thor, also famous for his Shakespearean way of speaking. After all, this is also the Demon's second encounter with the Sub-mariner (#445).
And, in order not to lose the habit, it would be incredible to see Bruce Timm's version of the Demon meet Goliath of Gargoyles (TV series). Maybe even with Gargoyle's participation, as they already met at #53.
Curiosity: Etrigan is tagged on this blog only by his codename, while Namor receives two tags, by his name and by his codename.
