It will be interesting to see Lou Ferrigno Jr. carrying on the family superhero mantle when he takes on the role of Hourman in the upcoming Stargirl series. Hopefully he will have a sizable role, I'd like to see the hero better realized than he was in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Some distant set photos indicate that his costume will be close to the comics, so that's a good sign.

Ross, did you consider Matt's original garb for this cover as well? And shouldn't that be 'sixty minute' search party? But it is a fun cover, especially from the perspective used.
Wouldn't it be ironic if that missing "eye" witness was Dr. Charles McNider?
"sizable" role
My impression is that the Justice Society characters (which also includes Henry Thomas as Dr. Mid-Nite) will be recurring, appearing in extended Arrow-style half-episode flashbacks. And yeah, he kind of got short-changed in Legends of Tomorrow, basically relegated to a cameo in the Season 1 finale.
As awesome as this cover is, Ross, for the subject matter of your text I think I would've paired Hourman with the Hulk. Maybe that can happen after Stargirl premieres. (Along with "Doctor Mid-Nite meets E.T."!)
I think I've mentioned before my hope that Beth Chapel, as the second Doctor Midnight, will be donning her yellow-and-black spandex costume from the comics. The "sneak peek" cameo on the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" finale showed her in a copy of Charles' outfit, which isn't an inherently bad thing except that I've always considered the spandex one to be a really awesome design.
PS: On the topic of Doctor Mid-Nite, I've figured out how to tell Charles McNider from Pieter Cross: look at the bottom front of the tunic. Charles' has a split, while Pete's has a flap.
That's a terrific cover! Against that dark background, the red of Daredevil's costume is the perfect offset for the earth tones of Hourman's, and their poses complement each other perfectly. Great job!
@Anon: More so if it was Nick Fury.
@Bob Greenwade... Hourman is one of those Golden Age heroes DC itself doesn't know what to do with. So many retcons and versions invented to 'update' these old characters that more alienate the new audience than allow a real connection with them.
A meeting between Hourman and the Hulk took place on July 22, 2016, at #1561. The Hulk little knew he could be hitting his own son... lol
@Paganini: Thanks for the direction to #1561. Still, I think a re-meet might be in order when the time is right.
As for Hourman, much of the problem with him is that he gets his powers from taking a drug. When he was created in the 1940s, chemistry was seen as an "answer to everything," and it wasn't until later that we learned that that isn't always the case. In the comics, DC tried to address issues of drug addiction through Rex' son, but that didn't quite take. Since Rick's set to be a part of Stargirl's new team, we'll see what angle they take on him -- hopefully something similar, but not too heavy-handed (which the comics arc was, just a little, IMO).
Lou Ferrigno, Junior, huh?
If he succeeds in the role of Hourman, will his father be green with envy?
Would The Shadow's ability to cloud men's minds work on Daredevil? and How long would Hourman's pill work if he was outside of time at Vanishing Point?
@3-H: maybe sixty seconds (a la Roger Ramjet)?
@Anonymous: Stands to reason.
