Just how do you cast Galactus for the MCU? I imagine he will be largely realized through CGI, so it's likely that the actor's voice will be the most important element to consider. Will they go for someone with a distinctive voice, like Liam Neeson? Or will they prefer someone lesser known, with a voice that can define the World Devourer the way James Earl Jones did for Darth Vader?

Galactus Vs. Deadman

Clancy Brown does all right, doing villainous voices.
As for Deadman's dilemma? He might have a better chance taking over Galactus by taking over the Puppet Master!
Clancy Brown doing Galactus? Maybe but I can't away from "Ahoy, matey; ye're me new herald. Take to the skies and scrounge up a planet fer me grub!" I do think James Earl Jones would be awesome.
Having done Lex Luthor on Superman and the Justice League for so long you might forget how many other roles he has done, like Emergence.
Bravo Ross on this challenge. Next, Deadman in Ego, the living planet?
Gee, I always thought Galactus sounded like either Captain Kirk or Bart Simpson!
@MarchHareSupreme: Um, I'm not sure JEJ is still with us...
Yes, Daviticus, he's still with us. It's his father, Robert Earl Jones (the ill-fated "Luthor Coleman" in 1973's THE STING), who passed away eleven years ago.
On a lighter note?
Dear Ross: Galactus reminded me of something. Any chance of his former sparring partners, the Inferior Five, teaming up with Spidey? I'm sure you already have a cover planned for April Fool's Day. But, how about #2983 (one hundred issues from today)?
My main exposure to Clancy Brown has been as August Corbin on Sleepy Hollow, though I've also enjoyed him as Gen. Wade Eiling on The Flash and as Col. Ray Schoonover on Daredevil and The Punisher, as well as the voice of Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok and of Lex Luthor through most of the DCAU. So yeah, I think his voice would be just right for Galactus, and most if not all of his acting would be through performance capture.
I actually hadn't thought about him for the role until he came up in the Comments here; I was trying to come up with a deep-voiced actor, and the only one I could think of was Brad Garrett. It'd be cool to see him in the MCU, and I don't doubt that he could do a grave role like Galactus, but he doesn't quite look right for that role. Clancy is a much better choice; good thinking there, Cary.
The ONLY actor who could give the right voice to Galactus is Larry David....
The guy who used to be the head writer for M*A*S*H?!
No!!!!!
That was the late, great Larry Gelbart. Larry David helped put the Jerry Seinfeld Show on TV. That being said? I don't think a man who helped create a show about nothing is fit to be the voice of a major Marvel player like Galactus (who's really quite something).
TJW's gonna get you for that. ;-)
A Better Tittle would be: Nine Tenths Of The Law.
@BrotherKellymatthew: only if it special guest-starred that guy who resembles Evil Ernie cross-dressing as Judge Dredd.
Ah, yes! Found him; see STF #3175.
