Guardians of the Universe and Godzilla

As we enter the middle part of our three-part epic, we see just why Godzilla was summoned across space - and the Guardians still have plans for him, so make sure you come back tomorrow for the exciting conclusion!

I look forward to seeing how the Guardians are portrayed in the upcoming HBO Max Green Lantern Corps series.  They definitely need a re-design from the look they sported in the GL movie... and we don't need them sitting on those ridiculously tall chairs again, either!

Suppose Mogo wanted to loan Chaselon, the giant sentient diamond (with robotic limbs and a mohawk) to new ally Ego - to watch Ego's back from some kind of upcoming major attack they were expecting? How might that cover look?

Or, instead of Chaselon, they use Godzilla... for a Khund attack. That works too.

The Khunds managed to occupy Mogo?! I don't buy it. Not alone, they couldn't have. Not even if the Qwardians supplied their whole army with yellow-power rings!

So, I'll take another wild guess and say that the GOTU want Godzilla to go after the real power behind the Khunds. Namely...Shuma-Gorath!

Or, more likely, Darkseid butt-whupped the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. So, Godzilla is the GOTU's last, best hope. Which raises the question...

...if he had been approached by Princess Leia of Alderaan, would she refer to him as Gojira-wan Kenobi?

P.S. @ Ross: if Shuma-Gorath is too Galactus-like for your taste, then simply make Starro a more pysically combatable avatar of same.

Sorry! That should've read "...physically combatable."

Why do I think that tomorrow we're going to see Godzilla with a Green Lantern Power Ring?

Oh, and I like the ridiculously tall chairs. They're like that in the comics, aren't they? Like the Time Lord collar pieces from Doctor Who, I think of that extra height as largely ceremonial.

@Cary: At first glance I thought you meant "physically compatible." But no, you got it right the second time.

I always thought a middle-aged Mickey Rooney would have made a perfect Guardian -- right height, nearly bald, could play grumpy well. Today, when they can use the Hobbit effects to make anybody look short, they can have whoever they want.

I'd like to see maybe one regular Guardian (Ganthet) and when they need more have rotating cameos from old Science Fiction shows and movies come in ang go blue, ala Star Wars and the stormtroopers.

Wow Ross great concept! I guess next phase will include Sinestro or Red or Orange lanterns in the conclusion. Whatever it is, can't wait. Now have you ever done Doc Sampson with Doc Savage? If yes then a sequel is in order. How about Capt. American meeting Capt. Nazi (with or without Wonder Woman). As for villains, Baron Blitzkrieg vs. Baron Zemo might be good.

Hmmm! Number 2900 is this Sunday? Whoa! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us. As for Number 3000? I know what epic I'd like to see depicted there. Masters of Evil versus...HE-MAN & THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!

That could be interesting: Shuma-Gorath vs. Starro. Who would be caught in the middle of this fight?

@B.Paganini: how about the superheroic Ten-Eyed Man of Earth Three?
