Katana is an interesting character. Since her debut in Brave and the Bold #200, I've always tried to keep track of her. Once she left The Outsiders, she seemed to move around as a supporting player in various teams, with plenty of costume changes. I was cool to see her in live action in Suicide Squad, but unfortunately she was given very little to do there. I never did get around to reading her short lived solo comics series. I'd like to see her working alongside Halo again, I really enjoyed their big sister/little sister relationship from the Batman and The Outsiders days.

I remember Black Lightning cautioning Batman about putting Halo and Katana into an apartment together as the samurai would be a bad influence. Batman responded that he thought having a young person around is just what Katana needed then. Artwork: Batman's memory showing a golden age style image of Batman and Robin swinging over Gotham City.
Unfortunately I had to stop buying comics again recently, for financial reasons, but isn't she currently in a new 'outsiders' team with Black Lightning, Cassandra Cain, and new Bat-ally 'the Signal'?
The version of her in Li'l Gotham (as a child of around Damien's age, interacting with him), and the one that I saw in a comic that I think was based on a cartoon series (which I hadn't seen) where she was teamed-up with Batman and Alfred, were also fun.
Oh, and the time after Bruce returned from being lost in time after Final Crisis and she saw through his disguise because she recognised his fighting style...

If in 1978 they made Challenge of the Superfriends with Marvel characters (Challenge of the Marvel Heroes?) which 11 heroes and 13 villains would they have used? The characters would have had to be popular at the time or provide diversity.

Nothing is final in comics. Dead characters come back. Even characters from defunct publishers can come back.
You need some female villains. I would replace Loki with The Enchantress and replace Red Skull with Moonstone.
