Firestorm and The Beast

Firestorm was one of the first superhero characters that I was able to follow from the very beginning, so I have always had a soft spot for him.  I loved the student/mentor relationship between Ronnie Raymond and Professor Martin Stein - while one had control of immense power, the other had the know how to use it.  Only by working together could Firestorm operate at the peak of his abilities.  Plus, what a cool costume design.  He's one of the few characters to pull off the puffy sleeve look!

Now you're going to have to do a puffy sleeve team book with Firestorm and Darstar (in her original costu.e) at the center.

Logically, the name would be: The Powerpuff Girls (and Boys).

@my namesake: Don't forget Lightray of New Genesis. :-)

Clearly the Radioactive Man under estimated the heroes intellect.

I have fond memories of the Radioactive Man because he was one of the first supervillains I read about. That was in an Avengers 'annual' or 'giant-size issue' or something of the sort which reprinted earlier stories, and he was in the very first appearance of Baron Zemo's 'Masters of Evil'.

I do like the CW FLASH & Legends of Tomorrow versions of the costumes they have done. While 2/3 of Firestorm's partnerships have died on TV, at least they were introduced.

Hank McCoy has followed Bruce Banner's life choices with better results.

Maybe a future cover with: a battle between LSH foe BEAUTY (BLAZE) & the Beast?

Radioactive Man clearly hasn't accounted for Professor Stein's intellect. The Professor can be thinking things through while Hank and Ronnie keep the big guy busy, and then join Hank between fights in devising a high-science way of dealing with the problem.

Considering that Firestorm's powers (despite his name, hairdo, and identification as a Fire Elemental) are basically matter manipulation, I wonder how he'd fare in a match-up against Molecule Man.

Firestorm's original costume is still one of my all time favorites. I loved the JLA arc where he was introduced to the team - that cover (JLA #179) is one of many permanently burned upon the 'favorites' part of my brain.

LOL!

Firestorm should just turn him into the Simpson version of Radioactive Man.

I was introduced to Firestorm through Superfriends and he's one of my favorites, probably my favorite DC hero after Superman. Nice to see him in action.

I remember that time along with Cyborg. Just glad they weren't both redone for Teen Titans. Form of A Corkscrew!
