Superman: Red Son and The Winter Soldier

The CW Supergirl series has been presenting their own version of the Red Son storyline, making it about a Red daughter instead.  That's fine with me, because I think we have seen enough of evil Superman in live action for now.  Hopefully his next cinematic outing will present a Superman that embodies kindness, optimism and hope.  Now that a new Batman has been cast, they can figure out whether they want to go forward with Henry Cavill or go with a new actor in the role and finally get a proper new Superman movie underway.

Thank you to Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics historian and Patron of this blog, for suggesting this team up!

Hey, as a follow-up to this one, how about Nazi Superman (Overman? I think.) and Red Skull?

I'd love to see something just plain ridiculous sometime... Uncle Sam (from the Freedom Fighters) and Aunt May

The green (kryptonite) glow at the tip of WS' rifle is a nice touch, Ross. Thanks for not "Russian" that part. #BadPunNoCookie

Big Mike: You want ridiculous? I've been wanting to see The Inferior Five vs. Galactus for a while. Hong Kong Phooey vs. Darkseid would be a fun cover, too.

see The Inferior Five vs. Galactus see Galactus have BAD heartburn. See red skull vs Bizzaro. See Winter Soldier vs Summer O Dey and Father Time. See ya.

Great cover Ross. I agree with your thoughts on Superman. The last time he was properly portrayed was the first two films with Christopher Reeve. I think they actually did a great job of capturing what he should be like in the recent Death Of Superman/Reign Of The Supermen animated films. They need to go with that style for the live action now.

I just have one question. What's a "sew Superman?" Some guy who can knit-and-purl in the literal blink of an eye?

Ridiculous?

Inspector Gadget vs. R'as al Ghul

Rhett Butler and the Scarlet Witch

Knight Rider and Kit Walker (the Phantom)

The Spectre and Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost

To name a few quickly

How about Will Eisner's Spirit, The Man Called Midnight, The Mouthpiece, and The Clock? All of them in a court room arguing over which of them has first intellectual property rights to their inadvertently matching ensembles.

Ross could call it..."Civil Suits!"
