Catwoman and The Punisher

I have yet to see a perfect live action depiction of Catwoman, but many actresses have delivered when it came to certain aspects of the character.  Julie Newmar had those great eyes and eyebrows.  Eartha Kitt had the best Catwoman voice.  Lee Meriwether looked the best in the cat suit.  Michelle Pfeiffer used the whip well and had nice chemistry with Batman.  Anne Hathaway had Selina Kyle's personality and mannerisms down.  Halle Berry... well, they spelled the name right on the poster I guess.  I'd love to see a performace that can get all of these characteristics correct at the same time.

Personal opinion: The Halle Berry film would have been pretty good (not great, just pretty good) if they'd dispensed with any pretense of connecting it with the comic book character. (Dropping about half the "woman taking on cat behavior" jokes would have helped too.)

Hey Ross, Cracked dot com is horning in on your shtik. They put up a feature the other day called "If Every Hero Got the Avengers Treatment."

Huh. Well, I certainly didn't invent the idea of mashing up teams. I think mine are a bit more polished than those, though.

Cool and sexy.

Sure, you didn't invent the idea of mashing up teams, but I think there's a similar sensibility at work there. It looks different, because you're so much better at it, but I think that what you do is what they are all aiming for.

You know who might be able to embody all those qualities, simultaneously, in a live-action (and full-grown) Catwoman? Kiera Knightly!

What was the point of having a Catwoman and Punisher team up picture if this was just more about the actresses who played Catwoman????

The same point behind every cover on this blog - because it's fun! The comments are secondary and I never made any rule that they had to relate to both featured characters.
