Hourman and Jack Bauer
I was very happy to hear that the TV series 24 was making a return appearance this year, and it did not disappoint. Sure, it was way over the top, but that's what I always loved about the show. Kiefer Sutherland and William Devane chewed the scenery quite nicely and the addition of Yvonne Strahovsky was a welcome one. The ending left the story of Jack Bauer open, so hopefully we haven't seen the last of him.

Interesting combination. It might be just as interesting to have Jack Bauer tasked with finding Green Lantern's namesake device before the ring runs out of juice!
As to 24, I lost interest when Jack murdered a witness in cold blood right in CTU HQ just so he could prove his worth to a "bigger fish" suspect, and suffered no consequences for the act. Sure, the show had been violent up to that point, and he'd dome some pretty outrageous things, but I could grant the show some dramatic license for them. That particular act was a bit much, though.
The increasingly unbelievable time lag, between seasons, is what permanently turned me off of the series. I didn't even bother tuning in for Day 3!*
*Day 2 was one day too many.
